Bots banned and new DK creation restrictions!

Now to see all the idiots who say there are no longer any bots in BGs and everything is fine. See my above post where there were 12 DK bots on an Alliance team just this morning in EoTS.

Weird I went into several and saw maybe 2 total. Huge improvement

They did a poor job removing bots, the BG I was in today, had 6 botsā€¦ all DKā€™s following each other.

I saw a difference in bots for 3-4 days and then it went back to what it was. I have no doubt that blizzard banned that many bots, so their work isnā€™t for nothing. I think they just under estimated how massive the issue is.

Chill, yā€™all.

The one major thing I disagree with in their post is that they say reporting works. Reporting most certainly DOES NOT work. I have reported players over and over for botting, afk, etc, and I still see them in nearly every BG.

Bots are now leveling from 1, so at best this just made the process longer for them and they are now rolling different classes.

They are still in game, just joined a WSG 8 DKs named Whaslydfas, gj Blizz! I report them religiously, doesnā€™t seem to make any difference.

Probably leftovers. 120,000 really is not a lot. I doubt they got them all. Blizzard do ban waves for bots not individual.

I donā€™t believe it. This WSG im in right now has 5/10 dk bots.

Yes. Bots = sub money. If I ran an MMO I would keep some of them too.

Iā€™d only believe it if we got full real deal classic MAU numbers. Not sub, mau. 1 sub 2 games is why.

who actually log in and play Wrath are the numbers wanted.

Ironforge only tracks raid logs. Pvp sites track rating (but can also have raiders there since pve gear is bis in wrath). MAU is the way. Non raiders, non pvpā€™ers are counted there.

as it standsā€¦last I checked ironforge had classic clocked at 245K players. that includes US and Euro.

Now I will be mean. US only is 113K as of March 8 to 14.

blizzard has banned more bots than US log submitters. in a raid or death game. that doesnā€™t look right.

Now I donā€™t submit logs. I open world pug casual pvp play. I donā€™t think however there are say 300K people like me to make this look better lol. 300k ā€œcasualsā€ā€¦120k bots killed. well at least 180K players are left lol.

BLizzard could show me I am wrong ofc. If shown I would own that wrong data interpretation. its on them to show me how wrong I am lol.

You realize youā€™re looking at the Horde population, right? Also, the date is from March 7th to 13th. I donā€™t know how you could get everything wrong, the site isnā€™t hard to comprehend.

Not enough coffee. Stillā€¦120K out of 211k total (US) is not a good sign either.

well that and lets be honest. more bots than horde players is not a healthy sign either.

edit: also I am japan tz. my dates are 8th to 14th. the site adjusts for my +9 to GMT. its currently tuesday morning this part of the world.

The latest update of Questie from a month ago has 700,000 downloads on curseforge. That excludes players from China who now play on Taiwanese servers because they get addons off their own websites. It also excludes people who donā€™t bother updating Questie because theyā€™re no longer leveling. It also excludes players who donā€™t use Questie at all.

Thereā€™s more people playing this game than people think.

My bad, makes sense.

so you made up numbers off data that isnā€™t encompassing. about as accurate as a wet noodle.

Its all we have. Numbers have not been shared since WoD.

Iā€™d like better numbers. Many would. they only come from 1 place. and they arenā€™t sharing.

Yeah, 120k is just the ones that were caught. Iā€™d hazard a guess there are over a million bots in Classic.

Turns out all the botters just made new bots. So nothing has changed :joy:

they had backup accounts.

Mage boosting was good times for them, for real players too.

Nope.

They use Cursrforge also brother

Players from China get their addons from their own .cn domain websites.
