There’s an army of bots by kirin var village on netherwind and probably other servers also. Blizzard has no intention to fix the problem whatsoever

It was nice to take a mana thistle right in front of one of the many troll hunter 18 hour a day gold farmers today. I gank and camp these farmers on my alliance too sometimes to slow them down. I still get a decent amount of thistles and Terocone regardless but I’ve heard the problem is worse on PVE servers.

Curious what bots are going to resort to soon. Nothing is super expensive anymore, nothing close to vanilla Black Lotus, and the demand for gold is on its way down down down.
If we’re lucky, bots stop being profitable. But only if GDKP’s dont become a thing.

there are mages that generate 800g-1000g/hr atm
any kind of farming is also avg 200g/hr. You can just grind mobs in smv and make 200g/hr
raiding kara+mag+gruul atm is only costing me 50g, and thats cause of 3 haste pots costing 30g
the gap between how much you need to how much you can get is insane
There are guilds dedicated to camping the spawn points 24-7.

Considering people are reporting pugs having no problem with any bosses not named Vashj or KT, I expect we will see GDKPs running a couple weeks after p2 release. GDKPs coupled with the fact that consume demand/use will likely rise makes me think gold demand will increase quite a bit.
Need to stop buying mana thistle on the AH so they have no reason to farm it.

Don’t let it become a thing for you is all you can do. As far as I am concerned anyone that demands gold for me to play content can pound sand.

there’s ALOT of retail refugees and min-max lazy zoomers who are buying gold to bridge the rep-gaps and consumes. It’s disgusting, but yeah, the easier blizzard makes it to get consumes and gold the less this will happen, potentially. Currently there’s no point to gdkps, but the SECOND TK is out, and a chance at ashes occurs, you bet there’s gonna be literal gold farming guilds offering expensive as hell slots to carrys for gear and a shot at alar.
It’s sad that they can’t take the time to ban incredibly obvious bots. The economy of this game will soon be destroyed. We had another opportunity with crusade to keep these cancerous scumbags out and protect our economy for legitimate players but the window is rapidly closing. Blizzard once again sat back and didn’t seem to do anything. They’re more than happy to censor you from the forum if you hurt some snowflake’s feelings, but the people actually ruining this game are allowed to run rampant.

Everyone who I have encountered camping these (at literally any hour of the day as I’ve tried to find good times to do it myself) have had conversations with me.
So, if they’re all or even mostly bots, they have some excellent skills when it comes to responding to the goofy stuff I say to them.
How do you know they’re all bots? Or mostly bots? Camping mana thistle is lucrative if you get the timer down right. There’s a set amount that spawns in each area, on a set timer. It’s not hard to do work and every 5 minutes zoom to the node spawn locations and reset the timer.
