Can’t find any bots. Blizz probably.

Maybe the Sherlock can figure it out.

Probably isn’t cost efficient to run bots in hardcore where if they die you lose a lot of revenue having to re-level it.
Meanwhile you can run risk free bots in WOTLK and retail where there’s more demand for gold anyway.
Just posting about the issue in general.
Nice troll, subby.
You’ll get some bites.
I suspect I saw, or interacted with, an AH bot today. I bid on 12 bags at 2 copper up from 1 copper. Buyout is whatever. Almost immediately they started to cycle up a bid. The other ones at 1 copper didn’t cycle up. I collected my money 24 copper in mail and forgot about it until now. Automated AH player ruins an experience IMO.
I have seen quite a few farming in the coast of Westfall. There’s a bunch of crabs there that respawn pretty fast, and they just farm them all day. Not quite as profitable, but still.
I reported them of course, but first tried to get them killed by the nearby murlocs. No luck tho, but I’ll try again when I’m higher level, perhaps I can manage it.
Killing a bot permanently would be awesome, I have to admit. Better than downing a raid boss.
This likely isn’t bots just people playing AH.
10 bags up for same amount - the one I bid on is immediately bid over, but no bids on the other nine. Extremely annoying way to “play”. If it’s not a bot it is a
Some people just sit on the AH all day and/or during downtime at work and snipe things. It’s fine.
If they wanted to snipe - not sure I know what that means - they could have bid on the other 9 bags, no reason to bid on the one, I bid on … I just collected my bid money and bought a bag from a tailor instead.
There are plenty of them on the NA servers… mostly in Elwynn, Westfall, The Abbey Starting Zone and such. I have reported plenty of them. Most of them are in a guild with a chinese Name (in Chinese Characters) and character names either in Chinese or a jumble of nonsense letters randomly generated (often don’t even include a vowel). Primarily Hunters, Mages and a few rogues. Also have had run ins with bots running just below the terrain or inside the walls of the mines (grabbing chests, ore etc.)
You’re admitting to a bannable offense agaist people whose only proveable crime is ignoring you.
That’s the one they wanted.
they’re called AH bots very common
They’re very easy to spot, to be honest. Not only because they don’t answer, but also because of their random names, and specific movements. You can tell that every action they perform has the exact amount of time between them.
You can almost feel its robotic…ness.
Hey! I level there from 12 to 14 and from 18 to 20 with my rogue, those crabs are great for chain bs/ambush
This is the funny thing is that people immediately assume anything they don’t understand is a “bot”.
Ironically, the guy trying to characters killed by dragging things on them may have been griefing actual players. People don’t need to respond to your messages.
Normally they’re in dungeons.
The crabs are a leveling strategy a lot of folks use (its in several of the guides on Youtube). Its not someplace I’ve seen a lot of bots. The bots prefer things that drop something that can be vendored or AHed. Hunter Bots are the main kind, often with their pets with default chinese names (usually boars on the alliance side).
The bots only made sense on HC when it was FOTM, at this point they probably have farmed enough gold to last them until blizzard shuts down the servers, especially now that many of the likely buyers have moved onto the greener pastures of SoD.
