BOTS are everywhere

I came back to wow recently for 10.2. I was so happy that affiction finally looks good. maybe i would remove the soul shard cost from jinx but thats another topic.

BUT there are BOTS playing the game now. WTF. i mean, im at the point where now that ive seen it once, i see it EVERYWHERE. Im so suspicious about every player now that i know its a thing. its extremely discouraging to see this.

I dont know what blizzard can or will do about this, but it should be their number one priority. Remove addons from the game if you need to, this is plenty reason for me to outright quit. I cannot stand it

Is this the real reason for this thread?

I can’t see how addons affect bots. Surely bots wouldn’t need addons.

They really aren’t prevalent.

Also addons don’t have anything to do with botting/scripting.

nah i like addons, its just me not knowing how a bot even works so i guess its a mistake

botting always been in the game. i remember people selling rotation bots during woltk.

hell AWC player got outed and 12 other AWC players reported him but he is still not banned

jaime has been r1 ladder almost every season for like 14 years and has competed in many tourneys, if he was botting this whole time dont you think he would have been caught by now? who are the awc people reporting him?

After playing ele I can see how everyone thinks all ele are bots. You could train a monkey to do it as good as r1s. You just apply flame shock to everything and press lava burst.

YES there are shady things. Good News is, its in cycles, as a new cheat appears it rises up, Blizz does a big banwave, and it dies down until the next cheat or program.

May be harder to cheat in Shuffle RBGs because there are more people to call it out.

You realize someone can make a Weakaura that just shows a few colored pixels on the screen, when an ability is used or when multiple conditions are met.

Now what could you do with a simple colored pixel on the screen?
Prevent a keypress from sending? Hmmm…
Send a keypress? Hmmm…

You really can’t be this naive in current year.

You realize that a bot doesn’t need access to weakauras?

Weakauras are for people, to make things visible.

To a bot, everything that is detected, is visible.
