I spent some time farming some rare materials, only for the prices to tank due to the bots.

Massive surge of mats being sold on AH for half of what they normally would go for.

I play on Faerlina and made a new char just to mess around with between raids, and there were probably 20 bots in Duratar starting zone alone. I mean CLEARLY bots, if they had 1 GM peruse the world for 5 minutes they could ban thousands of accounts.

And people think that bots/gold farmers wont buy boosts for botting purposes. KEKW
Just a disaster waiting to happen.
Use the “Right Click” Report for Cheating option. Then put in the text field botting “mobs” in “zone” I have reported dozens and gotten in game mails from Blizz stating that actions were taken on the account reported.
If you see it, report it. Will it fix the problem? No… but it will help.
Are these the same people that made a valid point about how a bot will just skip the boost and keep spam killing mobs to level…?

Botters will take the least resistance possible to make gold. Paying $??.?? to make more in gold (TBC will have much better drops) is a no brainer.
As much as I hate to say it… Blizz is full aware that this will mean a nice tidy sum of profit for them. Botters boost, pay $$, Blizz bans account… rinse and repeat… talk about printing money…
You cannot proactively stop botting… you can only react. Might as well make some serious dough doing it.
PvP server has its perks.
