Say what you want about bots but the ones back in mop ( the rogue ones) would routinely sap my vanish like some sort of rogue god. they wouldn’t do anything after but hey it was still hilarious.

Combat state is still really buggy in this game. When someone vanishes, feigns, etc you will drop combat for a split second (even if you are fighting other people).

That would allow you to do a combat/no-combat macro that will sap if you drop out of combat, use your main attack if in combat. So, if an enemy rogue vanishes and you drop combat while pressing your main attack macro it will insta-sap them.

No hacking or automated bot necessary.

combat state really is a buggy mess haha, although I already knew vanish drops combat for a split second but these were actual bots. This was also back in mop when honourbuddy was still alive and well so bots were everywhere. I have not really seen any bots recently though.

Pretty sure you would have to have dance going or vanish yourself to do this since sap is a stealth only move.

These “bots” were clearly blizzard ai sent to simulate “real” players.

There were some clearly ai things happening, most obviously the fact that they lost to us. No real player would’ve done such a thing.

You drop combat, so you can stealth/sap instantly. Did a movie about it on my druid. Note, this combat state feature doesn’t work for everyone.

I faction changed the druid in the movie to Highmountain Tauren and it still benefits from this bug, fwiw.

And if anyone is wondering why I stealth so quickly when it happens, it’s not skill. :wink: I have macros written to automatically stealth me when I drop combat.

Macros don’t “automatically” do ANYTHING. One has to press a button of sorts for them to perform multiple actions.

What you are describing is that you have a script that automatically stealths for you which is against the TOS and is called botting.

Yes, it automatically stealths you as you are pressing your main attack when you drop out of combat. It is an out-of-combat / in-combat macro (which I described earlier in the thread). You should be reported for stupidity.

edit: I hope you sent them a link to the movie, because the reason I made it is that I wanted to see if they would fix it.
