I’m specced Protection and was planning to run through SM for tanking experience, the couple of quests, and gear drops. Getting a group in Azeroth can be a challenge, however.
Is it worth being persistent for this? Or, should I just quest ?
My goal (perhaps obvious) is to get to Outland ASAP.
Just quest. By the time you get a group and go through there, you could have quested past the need for it. With the reduced XP requirements starting at level 20 and the low number of people available to run dungeons, you are just best off questing to 58.
Now if a group is right there and it is not out of your way, do a dungeon, but do not stand around waiting.
IMO, have a high level friend run you through to get the quests done. Then get back out there and quest. I’d only mess with dungeons if tou happen to see a group forming.
Depends on your server. My lfg channel (not this character obv) for my horde character still has calls for SM, BRD, and even RFC because they offer plenty of XP and are great leveling hubs.
Barely saw GY/Lib runs this weekend, more Arm/Cath on Alliance side on Pagle.
I think for Alliance you won’t see it as much because the run there is a bit without some sort of speed boost lol but the EXP and gear is really good so it’s worth it.
