So yesterday I ran some rated arena, 1300ish rating, and ran into some very suspicious behaviour, one in particular that stands out as tool assisted.
In some games I pop convoke out of stealth when the situation is right, but yesterday I had one with a shaman and spriest. My DH tank partner jumped in and started his thing, I waited until he was about half health and went ‘Boooommm..?

’
So how I do it is macro my incarn, trinket and convoke into one spell and depends on the enemy I sometimes pop it out of stealth, like when I am against ranged interrupt classes so I can surprise them and get something off before they interrupt me, except this time I popped my macro from stealth and got a grand total of… ONE spell cast from my convoke.
That’s one spell out of 16 before I was interrupted, or in other words the enemy I was playing against had a reaction time of 0.25 seconds or better. Assuming they had myself set as focus cast and was just spamming interrupt while also trying to kill the other person there is no way they could have used interrupt that fast under all the circumstances. Plus I don’t think there is a way to set someone as focus unless you are able to see their name or nameplate, which is not possible when someone starts the match in stealth.
I don’t know why I bother some days, there are so many carries and dodgy practices going on that half the games you play are guaranteed to be lost before you even start.

Sorry to hear that pressing one button out of stealth didn’t net you the win.

Maybe this? (important bit bolded)
Having stopcasting in your counterspell macro means that you will never miss a counterspell because you’re casting. Also having cancelaura ice block means you can come out of your block to interrupt somoene without having to press a separate bind to cancel the block. Having counterspell arena1 is also great to counterspell people from stealth as you don’t have to put people on focus or target first. It’s also especially great against triple caster teams as you won’t have to change target or focus. Keep in mind that it’s very awkward to have to constantly change your target and focus against triple caster teams to always get a counterspell on the person you want, and so it’s really important to have this macro.
/stopcasting
/cancelaura Ice Block
/cast [target=arena1] Counterspell

So they enter into the Arena, are in prep and see “oh a Druid” so they set you as their target for interrupt then when they are alerted that Convoke is being cast either by an addon like https://www.curseforge.com/wow/addons/gladiatorlossa2 or a weakaura like
They hit it.
Not to say it’s impossible they were using some kind of instainterrupt program only that there are other possibilities.

Doubt its a program, its just any serious pvper knows how to shut boomkins down now.
I’m not complaining about having one button to win, I’m more worried someone was able to, out of stealth, interrupt me within 0.25 seconds.
Like sure having a focus macro is great and all, but unless the dude was spamming this constantly (while also attacking my team mate) in preparation of me using convoke there is almost no way they could have interrupted me instantly like they did.
Maybe not at the rating I am playing. It’s not like I am duelling 2.1K+ ranked players, even the carries I play at this level are not that good. For someone to get an instant interrupt off like this reeks of suspicion.

If convoke-ambushing is a common strat and the enemy saw that there was a druid on the team, it’s not unbelievable that he’d be spamming the macro in anticipation. He also may have seen Akadruid gains Stealth pop up in his combat log if you got too close at any point, which would serve as warning.
Insta kicks are not hard, it’s extrememly obvious what moonkins do - that’s why you need to CC.
What separates good convoke druids and not so good convoke druids is patience. If you or your teammates aren’t baiting as many CC’s and interrupts, and throwing out as many CC’s and interrupts as possible before you pop your convoke macro, expect to get countered instantly and regularly.
Even in this situation, where you say you waited it out, that does nothing for you if you don’t wait for the right moment. Boomy has a lot of good damage outside of convoke, don’t use it until you set up your conditions to successfully use it.

From what I’ve seen when I’ve watched streamers and watched my wife do areans, balance druids opening with convoke from stealth and going full burst is pretty popular. Therefore it makes sense to be spamming a keybind like that in prep if you see theres a balance druid on the enemy team.
Ya got outplayed. It wasn’t a bot or an auto-program.
