Borrowed Time for disc m+

Given that haste is important for Disc priest, I’m curious why Borrowed Time (8% haste after casting PW:S) isn’t part of the disc guides (wowhead, icy-veins, method, etc). Am I missing something?

Anyone have a build they like for m+ that includes Borrowed Time?

you could prolly drop solace for 1 point in borrowed time if you have the rashokk trinket

Well there’s really 3 things:

  1. It’s fairly low haste for its duration
  2. We just have more to gain from other talent points than a gain of 4% per point.
  3. We generally aren’t casting PW:S literally off CD - there’s more valuable things to cast once atonement is spread.

But those 2 points are probably better spent in Abyssal Reverie or Blaze of Light.

I regularly run a hybrid build with aegis of Wrath and borrowed power. It’s actually my key tech for healing some of the overtuned healer checks in keys depending on the week. The mobility of rapture is super clutch on fights that pump out dmg but also don’t let you stand and cast which suck.

Logged out with current hybrid build if you want to check. I run this for much more healing throughput on fort weeks since there is a lot of random spike dmg and I can pre bubble or rapture spam through a lot of them whereas atonement only healing is always just raw group healing throughput. I normally just run squid for DPS and atonement healing otherwise.

edit: forgot i didnt have shadow covenant in this build, i normally have atleast 1 point for that even with a hybrid set up.

Something to note for people, buffs that give a % of stat actually is multiplicative with your current stats. So it’s actually more like 10-11% haste.

Also you can snapshot cooldowns that scale with haste like mind blast, if you make a habit of mind blasting after PWS you shave off a good 0.6 seconds, which is nice when I run a hybrid bubble/squid haste stacking build and use borrowed power to get as much squid uptime as possible which is what I’ll be trying with the new priest shadowfiend talent next patch.
