I got level 40 on my druid.
Farmed 1500 coins for my weapon.
Did some quests for pre raid bis items.
Got my mount.
Now what? I feel like SoD is empty of content. Dungeons are pointless, there’s not really any good PvP rewards from Arathi. I did Gnomeregan once, super awesome raid but I don’t see myself doing it twice a week for the next 3 months like bfd.
I would like to maybe level my alt but I will have the same result once I hit 40.
On retail, I can do M+ for the challenge to get gear. There’s some questline for the main story. You have little sidehubs for reputation that gives stuff, weekly quests to complete etc. On classic, nothing is worth my time.
So, what are you guys doing with your free time?

Yup, I got about 30 hours worth of content. Even a casual playing 3-4 hours per day would get for less than 2 week of content.
Just for the record, I am in a guild of 40+ dad gamers and most of our 300 members are either already 40 or very close to 40. At launch of P2, we were about 150 online. Tonight, there’s 19 people.
This is what it is. I think it’s okay to go play something else, or do something else, when it gets boring.
This is a twist on old content that is finite in stuff to do, especially considering most people have already done it several times before.
If they were smart they would have given more fun end game things to do and discover in each phase, but that doesn’t seem like it’s gonna happen
Luckily, there are a million other hobbies and productive things to go do instead.

Good thing this is a single player game and when you beat the final boss, the credits roll and you can leave knowing you completed it.
Oh wait, this is an mmorpg. I wonder if there’s an element to this game beyond killing loot pinatas. Maybe…other players?

Why would I care about one slot for a bunch of alts. I’m asking for gear on a main that keeps up with raid gear. Simple. Like, idk, CLASSIC.
People have limited PTO.
It’s understandable.

Farm professions run battlegrounds wpvp and do raid when lockout is up. Same thing that you always did in this game
And maybe they are preventing wife agro today of all days.

Go play retail then if you prefer all of it’s grind. I’m happy when hit a point where I actually have free time for other games. I can continue to play this game but also be able to go play BG3 or whatever. Retail can’t really do that without losing out on timers for different content.

lol she deserved it. She watched me do a full, non stop grind from 30 to 40 on Sunday, and then a full Gnomer run that lasted until 1:30 AM for me.
Today she’s like “Pay attention to me like you do your game.” And well…yeah.

It feels like they should have added more loot to the limited dungeons that are available. I realized very quickly that I actually had no loot table at all to farm in dungeons this go around as a leather wearer. Farmed the STV event and got my dagger pretty fast. Would do gnomer but there aren’t much in the way of pugs yet… another 2-3 months of this phase seems… like a bit of a stretch when things feel so bare bones right now.
Maybe they could add in heroic dungeons of the dungeons in the bracket, that reward level 40 gear and are just 5 man lvl 40 scaled dungeons. I dunno, just felt like I immediately had nothing to do upon dinging 40 other than leveling an alt to troll with.
God, I miss when I had no responsibilities and playing video games for three hours a day was considered “casual”.
