I have had an open ticket since early December. I have a now level 62 DK who was not boosted and did the intro to Dragonflight quests. Until he got to the docks and there was no boat to Boralus or Dragonflight starting zones. The GMs who answered my tickets ignored my request for help claiming I needed to do the intro quest to BFA and no clue where to start it. I looked the their threads posted for Wowhead and it sent me on a wild goose chase. I even asked Chromie for help and there was nothing. I can get to Boralus in SW mage tower as well as Orbos through the portals. However NO SKIPS are available for my alt. My mains have done all the quest lines in Legion, BofA, and Shadowlands yet no skip available for my alts. The claim by Blizzard that Dragonflight is alt friendly is a lie. They took away threads of fate skip and that broke all my Alts. It is bad form to lie to your customers. And yes I feel lied to. I have at least 10 alts who made the journey through the Threads of fates skip no problem but now my remaining alts are screwed into doing full storylines in Shadowlands, BofA and Legion just to get a boat. Way to go Blizzard. Making me waste more of my valuable time just because you don’t care.
You don’t need to do the entire expansion to clear up phasing problems in Stormwind/Orgrimmar.
For Shadowlands, you need to get far enough along to make the Death Knight NPCs go away in the main city. That basically means getting to Oribos either by doing the Maw intro or choosing the Maw skip option.
For BfA, the intro is done when the character has earned “Come Sail Away” or “Welcome to Zandalar” which happens about the time you open up the city portals. It starts from the Herald NPC next to the Hero’s Call/Warchief’s Command board.
The Legion intro can also create problems, so if completing the two above doesn’t clear up your phasing, do that one as well. (You’re done with that once you’ve completed “In the Blink of an Eye” by moving Dalaran to the Broken Isles.)
