As I understanding layering, it’s continent-wide sharding. Would this mean if you Boat from Booty Bay to Ratchet and Ratchet to Booty Bay people could suddenly appear on your boat? (This goes for all continent changing travel units)
I know that people used to group up on boats and kill people. I think it would be cool if Alliance and Horde were doing this and occasionally popped in on each other’s PvP groups.
Also, it would be terrifying to be the lone person of your faction when a group of opposing faction suddenly appeared on your boat.

As yet, no confirmation that Layer 1 Kalimdor is automatically bound to Layer 1 EK.
i.e. If the 2000 people on Kalimdor Layer 1 went to EK, would they all end up in the same layer? Probably not.
I feel like it was talked about, cant remember where, but I seem to remember them saying something about the boats and how the layer is world wide not just for EK or Kalimdor.
Maybe one of the youtube interviews during the pre-beta party thing they invited people out to.
