Boots for Disgusting Troll Feet

In 9.1.5, they’re introducing (via the trial of style) boots that cover up nasty troll feet.

I’m really excited about this and hope they may release a toggle in the future (bare feet/covered feet) as hiding boots via transmog is already available.

Meanwhile, Draenei and Tauren don’t get their hooves covered up.

This is not okay.

Baby steps.

One thing at a time.

I mean I wouldn’t describe them as nasty. It’s just a different culture and evolution and all that stuff ya know? Those are some tough toes. Some of your kin might not take so kindly to you speaking on them in such a way. Enjoy your boots however.

Are troll feet that hard to craft boots for?

They figured out tauren helms. Why do undead toes stick out when they have little to no flesh in their foot, but an orc/human foot fits jut fine.

I get that it’s a stylistic thing, but it is weird.

maybe they can compromise and give trolls some interesting feet-wraps? or is it the toes you dont like?

though i like the concept of them running around without shoes-- it makes sense FOR THE DARKSPEAR-- sometimes it really screws up an xmog. :frowning: zanda have no excuse for not wearing shoes imo

I would describe them as dumb. Imagine, an entire army of proud, strong Zandalari… kept at bay because someone had the good sense to scatter Legos throughout Stormwind.

You know what’s caltrop/lego proof? This high-tech equipment which was recently invented, called, “boots!”

Imagine an entire gnome city being destroyed because the enemy put up barricades that are like 3 feet tall so he could irradiate it.

Boots for the poor mechagnome feet. That’s what I’m talking about.

That’s the power of forethought!

I mean, wowhead is saying they’re moggable on mechagnomes.

But like, the foot slot is disabled on mechagnomes in the mog menu, so I’m not sure how.

Oh my god its perfect. Like a kid wearing their parents shoes.

Gah, the more I look at the mechagnomes, the worse I feel about the Alliance getting them as an allied race.

Maybe Blizzard will release new, metallic torso skins in the future.

I’d be surprised if it becomes more widespread - Troll feet are one of their most signature features, and I doubt Blizzard would go to great lengths to make trolls more generic.

Now, are they “disgusting?” … even if they are, they’re troll feet. That comes with the package. You call someone a troll, you’re not complimenting their good looks and sterling hygiene - “it’s disgusting!” isn’t an argument in this case.

Ultimately, you want nice “normal” feet? Basically everything else with feet (not “hooves” or “paws”) is an option. Trolls? Their weird 2.5 toed TMNT-like stompers are part of who they are, heel nail and all.

I’d agree with you but then we’d both be wrong.

there’s some plate boots that cover draenei hooves (at least on the females). They create an uncanny valley effect by making it look like they have feet.
