Just have Uther solo the sword… thats the part you’re talking about right?
The Forge and Pit quests arent disruptive as you just click where you need to click and everything else you can solo.
It was Pit of Saron. I announced on a start that I’m on a quest. After second boss when I collected 5 infused saronites I said that I have to run to the forge quickly for the quest. The moment I combined 5 bars I was booted apparently by two bottom DPS in a group and mediocre heal. One was orc warrior obviously.
Just don’t leave after the last boss and go back to the anvil then. It’s what I did when a group was being pushy about it.
I’ve both done and helped others do the quest line (like 8 times at this point) and outside of the one example outlined above I don’t think this is very common, the only part that requires some minor deviation to the dungeon is in HoR.

I’m doing it for transmog since it was my all times favorite sword. Next quest I’ll run with a guild.

fun tidbit just incase you didn’t see it, for the turn in’s along the dungeon part of the quest you can just go to the quest giver in the hallway outside the ICC dungeons. You don’t have to keep flying up to the tourney area.
It’s up there for me too! top 5 easily.
Have one for my DPS DK and my prot pally use the one hand for tanking. If you haven’t checked out the 1H maces they’re pretty interesting if way less cool than the sword.

Thats where you went wrong. Could have went back after the last boss. I didnt even tell anyone I was on the quest, I just went back after we were done with the quest. The only one I told people I was on the quest was in HoR. It took like 15 seconds and then we did the dungeon.
As a tribute to my original characters from Wrath after two classic expansion as Grobbulus Alliance I rolled on Horde three of my original Wrath characters - Troll Hunter(for Zod bow), Belf DK (Quel’Delar) and undead lock (Dark Coven set).

Quel’Delar was on my list of items/things I wanted to do prior to end of wrath this time that I wasn’t able to do last time around.
- yogg kill
- Battered Hilt
- 10H LK (did 25H back in the day, but not 10H)
- Shadowmourne (lmao sure)
those are just a few among others.

You can do the collection part without a group… you can get 3 ores without fighting a single mob and then just reset the dungeon to get the last two.
The quest does not have to be done on Heroic.
It takes seconds to combine and click on the forge so I don’t know what’s that about… it’s possible you got a crap group but I’ve done it 3 times on different alts with zero issue.
In any case, it’s not indicative of most gamers, just the 4 you were with at the time.
and of course it’s a male human paladin complaining on the forums
Kazzy Hill watcher if you know meaning of it. I switched to Horde for Wrath. I but I defeatedly can whisper Hi to you form my Tich Horde characters that retired after Legion.
#1 is Val’anyr for me and task is completed.

I am waiting til our ret gets his, but I am just two bloods away from the base Axe, which is closer than I was back in the day. Yay progress lmao.
this part looks entirely annoying for sure.
protip: you can solo the saronite part of that quest
you do you, but i’m not a big fan of how it looks. Seems too small for a 2h sword. Heck, the original quel’serrar looked better. imo no sword that i am aware of looked better than ashkandi
