Boosts are fine, no one cares if you quit

There are exactly 2 arguments that are just recycled over. and over. and over.

  1. “Its a slippery slope!!!” First boosts and next thing you know we’ve got TBC pet battles!" Which is complete nonsense of course. And either way, it’s not like one impacts the other. If Blizzard wants to introduce retail like features, they’re going to do it. Allowing boosts or not isn’t going to change that trajectory.

  2. “But the bots!!” For starters, I highly doubt botters will actually spend $$$ to boost up their bots… It’s just too easy for them to level otherwise. And even if they do, it still doesn’t really impact anything.
If Blizz is banning bots quickly, botters wont boost because it won’t be worth the risk of having the account banned and losing the money before they can recoup it.
If Blizz takes their time with the ban process as anecdotally seems to be the case, then botters wont need to constantly create new accounts… so they wont need to use the boost.
In either situation, the net impact is marginal.
