Curious. If you were to do as little work as possible and rely on getting boosted. How much gold would it cost you?
Not sure how many runs are needed per level but I see in chat.
10 to 20 gold per run rate on Deadmines
5 to 10 gold per run rate on Stockades
10 to 15 gold per run rate on Scarlet Monastery individual instances
10 for 180 or 20 per run on Mara
15 to 20 per run rate on ZG
I don’t think you can zone into Deadmines until 10, so may have to level to at least 10 as alliance, for horde ragefire, and I think it’s like level 7 min?
It’s fairly cheap to get to 50, after that the cost start to really add up.
Overall it’s about 800-1000g, boosting from somewhere in the 10s-60.
If you are just on rested couple hundred. On non rested about 800-1000.
You can break even basically from 20-52 if you loot/sell. After 52 is when it really gets expensive
Holy cow. Lol.
Well, you can pay, but if you have a main which is level 60 you can trade carries for carries. Overall though there is less exp needed once prepatch hits and finding a group to dungeon with will be easier if you don’t mind female elves on horde or space goats on alliance. Getting rested exp might depend on the prepatch length and it is why many hope for a long prepatch.
a good chunk of the cost is 50-60, so I’d boost mara till like 50 then hand level the rest. ZG boosts aren’t really worth it
The boosting mage and the rest of the party will wait for people to empty their bags and come back to the dungeon? No… I don’t think this is a likely scenario.
For ally on Herod:
level til 15
Stocks to 30 - 3g per run
SM Cath+Arm til 42-45 - 10g per circuit
Mara til 52 - 20-25g per run
Next is Strat or ZG, strat is better value but rare to find people boosting it
so ZG til 58 if you do coins, 60 without - 20g trio, 25g duo, 45g solo
No… Usually you time it for the breaks. Especially in SM mages hit their 30 pretty fast, and you may even hit the 5 so it’s pretty easy to hearth back to SS. That’s as alliance of course, it’s even easier for horde.
Mara is even easier since mages will typically need to hearth back to SW for zanzas periodically giving you more than enough time to sell.
You can also use tricks like making heavy bandages if you’re vendoring the cloth. I’ve boosted multiple characters simultaneously and still come out ahead depending on how aggressive the other boosters are about looting.
Yea we only have a handful of boosters on Faerlina that do Strat but its definitely better value, albeit takes slightly longer if you’re really worried about time. You can sometimes even get some loot out of there unlike ZG
I sell carry runs in Stratholm live, 2 spots 20 gold a head. Works out great long as they follow the rules and don’t do anything. Loot is free roll, orbs are reserved.
DE is provided if they request for free.
From 50 to 60 it looks like on average 5 runs is a level.
I’m amazed that so many people are opposed to paid store boosts but are okay with these boosts…
Like what is wrong with people?
At least the paid store ones you don’t waste your time.
Really because it seems straight forward to me
One method requires you to log in and still play the game(barely)
The other method doesnt require you to log in and blahblahblah
So it takes 15 RFC runs to get 8-15 #2g 30g
10 SFK runs to get 15-20 @3g 30g
Here’s where it gets a little trickier, because it is pretty dependant on the level you’re with and if your booster is doing 4 or 5 people runs.
20-35 takes ~25-30 runs @8g ~200-240g
I go Mara at 35 because I do it myself. Again, it’s dependent on your levels/booster but it takes about…
30-40 Mara runs to get to 50 @15g per 350-500g
Solo runs in ZG takes roughly 6 runs per level so 60 runs @40g 900g
So about 1500g conservatively. This is all dependent on booster doing it right, you being at regular XP (not rested) and you picking up no loot. Most Mara runs are FFA nowadays, and you’ll probably make back 1/3 of what you spend on boosts, if you AH your greens/blues and anything worth value. Also, as a booster, I never go above 4 people in group, as that’s best for XP, but most boosters don’t do that. Also, all this is based on Faerlina prices, and most boosters will give you discounts if you buy 5/time.
My argument is that if you are buying boosts with gold, it’s something you had to work for to get. Anything involving RMT is a plague on the game.
There was a mage doing free boosts today in RFC. Out of curiosity i took one. It was really funny. It was great seeing my xp bar shoot up but I think i lost a few IQ points just staring blankly at the 3 other schmo’s not talking or doing anything.
“hey, what’s up”
– silence –
“omg, this boosting stuff is the funniest thing ever”
– silence –
Then i get a ready check thing, and I go “what’s this ready check for?”. Then finally one of them rolls their eyes and says, zone out and zone back in. He needs to reset.
I guess I have a lot to learn. I got a stern talking to for following the booster around also.
