And it is something that some of us and Blizzard apparently DO agree with, so live with it.
Which is something that’s gonna be in the game, live with it.
You are not stupid, but the idea you’re trying to express may sound stupid.
This isn’t the same game from 2007 and a large portion of players that answered the survey said they would like to start at level 58.
So, let’s take a step-back and ask ourselves what is the impact of a level 58 boost for the game:
- It allows people to change a class for TBC or people starting on TBC to be ready to go through the dark portal;
- It allows you to get an alt ready for TBC, without having to expend hundred hours playing on old world.
- It is a one time boost to level 58, so you can only do it once in your account.
There is no downside of this. Not besides the hurt feelings of those zealots that are asking to cut down the boost, but at the same time are asking to change one aspect of the game (LW Drums of Battle).
I don’t really understand the people in this community sometimes. At least, I can take it that those here speaking against things so firmly are a loud minority, whilst the large majority of players just can’t wait to play the game and not have to hear about this nonsense discussion about “muh boosting is bad” or “muh drums are mandatory plz nerf”.
Enough is enough.
Trust me, I know. Whatever gives Acti blizz’s CEO more money, they will do it.
I hear they’re adding a new mount to the game as well that may come with a 6-month subscription purchase. If that’s the case, then I look forward to running around on that mount on my freshly boosted character. Because what I do with my money isn’t anyone else’s business.
I refuse to live with it.
Blizzard is making it so i dont need to live with it.
It looks like you are going to need to deal with the boost.
What toon should i boost?
get over it. accept what blizzard decides. we dont need another single post about this topic seriously.
This doesn’t bother me.
Just the boost
But the Boost, the Mount and the Drums are the EMO topic of the month. I mean what would WoW be without someone getting bent out of shape about some small thing.
(Pushes the dead horse closer to the grave in hopes everyone will ignore it once it is out of sight)
lol. i’ll admit the drums situation is not good. this tho has been a drag for weeks now.
Do you have a druid? They’re good for farming bro.
I doubt as well, but I’ve seen some incredibly stupid people with phds even.
I must admit, at least the drums actually have an in-game impact to gameplay. The Boosts are just elitists whining over elitist things.
“I had to level the hard way, so everyone should!”
Anyone who has an alt on Classic WoW had it boosted in dungeons anyway. These people aren’t elitist, just hypocrites. Let 'em be hypocritical.
I was giving the benefit of the doubt, but yes I suspect that for many, the first 60 was the hard way and alts were “Helped” along either partially or completely.
Piled Higher and Deeper.
I haven’t and won’t.
The boost should be free to everyone, not a paid service. Kaivax said himself that Burning Crusade starts at 58. If they won’t remove it, and let’s be honest they won’t, then everybody should get it. They say they want us to jump right into the game with our friends, but then they block the ability to do so behind a pay wall.
It’s free in retail because you have to buy the xpac.
There is no xpac to buy with TBC classic which is most likely why it’s not free and set up this way.
So now the boost is only bad because people have to pay for it?
What happened to just the boost itself being the main “problem”?
