Thank god the boost comes with max level tailoring and 20k gold…oh wait
Ok so my math is wrong, but it doesn’t change anything.
Waiting 3-6 months before you can play current content… is a long time.
That’s what the boost is for.
So someone who wants to play TBC doesn’t have to spend half a year playing something else.
Better then tier sets? I find that doubtful.
Just curious how long do you think it will take (hours wise) to get from lvl 58 to 70?
Yeah some of the crafted items are BIS. They’re actually kindof broken. Goes for Blacksmithing too.
2-3 days. Maybe 4.
So 48-96 hours. Regular non grinding players could take up to 100ish.
Leveling 58-70 in TBC was easier than 1-60 in classic.
It is, for druids/priests/ and comparable for shamans. Look it up. “whitemend hood” and “whitemend pants”.
I think everyone here should boost and camp him. Then that’d really be pay-to-win in a sense.
2-3 days played would be record pace. Realistically you’re looking at 5 days played unless your route is highly optimized. Not to mention quest competition at launch due to zone crowding.
Somehow we will be spending less time in the classic world than in outland according to this person’s math. I sincerely doubt that will be the case.
My expectation is that most people would takes two weeks to hit max level, AFTER the nerfs to EXP required. I expect most people by comparison would take about a week to finish Outland.
My expectation will also be that bots, post-EXP Nerf, will take a minimum of 8 days to hit level 60. It currently takes them about two weeks. They aren’t nearly as optimized as you think.
I think with that I’ve probably finally got the point across
Idk I have slain his guildies by the 100s…they aren’t anything special.
I remember farming you until complete honor DR when I was ranking, don’t act all tough.
Even one week… is one week of playing old content.
You keep saying reasons the boost exists :o.
I find that really hard to believe.
Glad to have finally got the point across.
This is still true, and it is still my main reason for objecting to the boosts.
Except bots will not pay.
If a normal person can level in one week to 58… do you really think a bot cant do the same thing and do it faster? ._.
Stage 1: Denial
I can concoct a similar argument that’s equally ridiculous. Previously in actual tbc I farmed several flying mounts. I’ve purchased flying mounts before therefor epic flying should be available form the store. Accomplishing something previously, no matter how many times you’ve done it, does not equate to adding instant skips in game.
Also instantly skipping huge chunks of content and over a hundred hours of gameplay can be applied to almost anything. Hundred hours of gold farm you want to skip? Go to the store. Hundred hours into farming warglaives in black temple? Go to the store instead. You are devaluing the actions of other players inside said mmo when you allow these “fast forward with real bucks” solutions.
While not completely unreasonable to assume the folks doing the botting might try to take advantage of a boost if it’s cheap, we don’t know
- That they really will
- How much the boost costs
- How fast Blizzard will clamp down on them after they boost (making it a really expensive way to start up a bot)
And there’s this opinion, which is at least as valid:
people who break tos for a living will choose to not make more money from breaking tos
source?
No… but you’d still be “winning.” Farming honor to pay for your level 70 PvP gear off this fool will be pretty nifty, IMO.
