Boosting in WOTLK classic?

will arena boosting be as out of control in wotlk classic as it is now on retail?

I thought most people played to funnel loot to their favorite streamer or buy stuff that they couldn’t qualify for back in the day so…maybe? Probably? The appeal of classic kind of falls off as they get into expansions where 99% of the content is available on live.

At least with vanilla-era classic the zones and leveling had been removed with the Cata shattering there was something “new” for a decent chunk of people to see or revisit.

i’ve already started a wrath boosting business

we have ab 1m pre orders already

im expecting to retire by next year

Umm it happens in tbc but it’s not as frequent as retail because barely anyone does arena (at least on tbc, wrath will surely be more popular) but wrath doesn’t have the awful retail upgrade system so prolly not

Perhaps my mind is failing me but I could’ve sworn wotlk had gear gated behind rating as well as elite weaponry.

Where have I heard this before?

More popular than tbc for sure. Tbc is extremely boring, all there is to do is raid log. Nobody even seriously qs arena until end of season.

And you expect wotlk to be any different why?

Because more than just 6 specs are viable in arena and they are adding some form of m+ or challenge mode to the dungeons.

Found this on MMO Champion

Deadly Gladiator:
Chest - 2020 rating - 2250 arena points
Hands - 1900 rating - 1350 arena points
Head - no rating - 6000 honor and 350 arena points ( Most likely bugged )
Legs - 1960 rating - 2250 arena points
Shoulder - 2200 rating - 1800 arena points
MH Weapons - 2080 rating - 3150 arena points
OH Weapons & Items - 2080 rating - 1350 arena points
Shields - 2080 rating - 2250 arena points
2H Weapons - 2080 rating - 4500 arena points
Caster 1H Weapons - 2080 rating - 3150 arena points
Ranged Weapon - 2080 rating - 4500 arena points
Throwing Weapon - 2080 rating - 1200 arena points
Wands - 2080 rating - 1200 arena points

already out of control in classic right now why would it be different?

Oh I see what you are trying to do

Yup I remember seeing people in full gear as a teen and being like damn this dude is good lol.

At the same time I used to blame the gear difference all the time. Oh he has pvp shoulders and I don’t wa wa wa

Boosting will be harder because making alts is actually A SUPER insane grind, so you need to do it on your main.

i mean isnt that sort of what you do now? “oh he has duelist gear.” wa wa wa. Just saying.

The visual aspect was kind of neat in the pre-mog era.

Yes because like SL there are rating Req on gear (elite set / weapons)

There are normal set and weapons but you know what people will do, they will break out the CC get some gold, and buy a boost. It’s what people always do, because path of least resistance is the most common practice.
