Oblivion Community is becoming “Oblivion Marketplace” and they are arranging cross realm boosts off-site, the ToS change was good, but not enough to stop the greed of these communities, i fear until boosting is completely banned that this problem is never going to go away, it is adapting to the ToS as we speak.
That is still a ToS breach and would probably be considered as likely RMT so just report it as RMT and move on.
You’re giving people a name to Google, so advertising for them.
I’m sure they appreciate the name drop and free promotion. Good job
no, i am presenting a problem that is not going away like Blizzard thought that it would, more needs to be done.
That can be done via ticket so yes you’re advertising for them therefore supporting them. You’re now part of the problem.
When you get rid of/ban a way somone makes money (butters, boosters, etc) they will try and get around it. Its the norm sadly
“Adapting to the TOS” you say? Like…isn’t playing by the new rules exactly what people are supposed to do when those rules change?
i’m hungry for Steak… brandishes knife
But they’re not playing by the new rules.
They are circumventing the new rules.
And I still say all Blizzard has to do to shut the whole show down is require a minimum amount of engagement for any rewards in all instanced content.
lol
Good luck enforcing that.
honestly at this point i think that Blizzard is just gonna start selling Boosts via the shop and prohibit boosting from anybody who isnt on Ybarra’s Boosting team.
that’s the only result i see, because the greed of these boosting communities cannot be discouraged.
Or until players stop paying for carries. The problem would disappear with the last paying customer.
Report them, they are within TOS breach.
I’m curious why you care when you don’t play the game. No keys no raid no pvp no effect on you
Harvest, is that you?
Yeah, OP should probably remove those names and just use the in-game reporting systems.
I was kind of surprised to see this thread not auto-blocked. I posted a thread asking how much game gold it took to get to a first date back before matchmaking service was banned, and system didn’t even post it.
You might be doing that but you also 100% giving people a name to Google. Only difference is you dressed it up like a concerned citizen but in reality you probably couldn’t have don’t a better job of advertising for them since this thread might stay up longer than a straight up ad.
Was that your plan?
Thanks for letting me know. I’ll check them out. As long as they’re not RMT, not cross-realm advertising in-game and are only accepting gold on toons that will be boosting, I don’t see the issue.
Players were trying to get around the ban by day 2 with trades messages like “Selling SoD carries for gold, PST for full details”. Guy on trade said after he sent a message, he was asked to join a discord where everything would be explained.
Please ban boosting
