Yesterday I created a bunch of new characters and I was ready to boost them all. I said ok, lets spend some cash, maybe 100$. But that would cover only one character! I quickly changed my mind of course, and instead I will be spending a big zero dollars. See how that works Blizzard? Your boosts cost too much and are making you lose money instead of making some.
Agreed. They should actually remove boost and tell players to level if they want a max character.
$60 is too much to spend on a boost? Thatâs because itâs not really encouraged to do so. They want you to experience the game. And dear god, if people only had to pay $20, the end game would be flooded with people who have no clue how to play their role. And seriously, it takes less than a week to take a toon from 1-60.
Totally agree. I wanted to boost my lock from lvl 19 but $60 is pretty steep. Especially of how easy it is to just level now a days. Iâm on day 3 and I got my lock to level 51 playing casually (work/family time). Itâs business and people do pay, I get it. But not me.
No you werenât. I meanâŚyeah! Me too! Was about to, was gonna, was this closeâŚbut Blizz.
Such an odd way of saying, âI was going to boost toon but didnât want to spend the money on it because of the cost. Wish the cost was less!!â
Maybe if the game was fun to level it wouldnât need boost lol.
I write the way I speak! Itâs super cool! But seriously, I see nothing wrong with my sentence.
Maybe itâs because English is not my first language? Donât people talk like that?
Blizzard needs to cut out its Community Middle Man, and remove boosts all together. No Pay 2Win. Their Community unfairly benefits from transactions like that, taking money away from Small Indie Companies.
They should introduce bundles and discounts like they did with character migrations.
Save 50% if you already have ten level 60s. This way people will not be clueless new level 60 players.
Huh? Oh, no I donât mean to restructure your wording! You good. I agree that 60 per toon is stupid money for what it is. Just seemed really really salty. So I was shaking the salt off.
$60 is way too much for a boost. Other games, which are F2P, offer the same service for about half of that.
As long as people are foolish enough to hand over the money they wontâ change it though. Personally I have never bought a single thing from the cash shop except expansions.
Because
They have lower prices to entice you to buy the power and avoid the slog. WoWâs leveling is stupid fast and really not that bad (you get to choose where and what and how you level).
/shrug
What was it that Mr. Krabs said???
Edit: Sadly they arenât as smart as you. I mean⌠torghast.
If itâs not fun why boost anything?
Hereâs what I do when I need to level:
-Figure out my favorite zones
-Do 'em in order
-Take my time and enjoy. Maybe have a snack. Nice tunes. I let myself get immersed. Been working on the Highmountain heritage on an alt and really enjoying swimming through Vashjâir on my beloved Fabious.
If you donât rush yourself and consciously enjoy the process, it isnât so bad.
GL friends.
At a low cost, this service would essentially be a pay for level 60 trial account. People would create multiple level 60s, try them out, and then never play again.
It would also have the knock on effect of pushing âcontentâ to only being end game. Why invest any time and effort in a zone when only the most obstinate types will continue to level the old way.
Boosts should be like $25, $60 isnât too bad for me, but a lot of people canât afford boosting characters very often with a price point like that
Just going to point out here that threads in the forum about âBoosting is way overpriced!â have been a part of wow as long as there have been paid boosts, even when leveling was most recently (mid Legion) at its longest.
So, nothing has changed except the time it takes to level characters yourself.
I dontâ mind paying to boost an alt character but $60 is too much AND on top of it they put my newly boosted character on that air ship and train me how to play the class â like my 17 year old account doesnât already know how to play the class? Blizz Pleez. Youâre a pita. I spend so much money on your game and Iâm finally at the point of saying #byefelicia.
Umm f2p games offer lower boosts then screw you over in 50 other ways.
I do think $60 is too much.
The one that really bugged me was the $30 fee to faction change⌠this was after I purchased move packs so I could recover a lot of âlost toonsâ on servers I donât play because the guilds diedâŚ
That extra fee to change faction is ROUGH. Not cool bliz.
I mean when you pay to move 3 or 8 characters from a horde server to a server you have 15 alliance toons⌠you actually donât even want me to keep them horde, itâs not a cool idea.
