It looks like Blizzard gave up on Shaman so im looking for greener pastures.
Booking seems like an OK alternative to Elemental but its weird to me to use a from or the glyph of stars. Are you guys ok with these two options?

Other than Nature & Elemental being similar schools they’re very different specs IMO.
Ele Shaman is very flashy and reactive. I would highly recommend Fire Mage for that.
With that said, would I be significantly more inclined to play Boomie if it was just a regular caster opposed to a Druid form / Glyph of Stars? Yes, I would.
There is some customization for the boomies. In the Emerald Dream zone.

Well i prefer Affliction
I never could get into Shaman and I tried -
I have a Dwarf Shaman and a Vulpera Shaman
I definitely enjoy playing my Druid more. Whether it is aesthetics or game play…. Gameplay has a lot to do with it….
Shaman can’t stealth or tank much

I like the new customizable Moonkin model introduced in Seeds of Renewal (10.2), though I prefer Guardian and Restoration.
I loved the new moonkin customization, they’re so fluffy and fat, they 're so mobile and with dots and clones plus starsurge insta big dmg they’re great, looks good if you wanna switch from elemental
Moonkin form sucks and always will. All the new customizations made it less sucky, however it still sucks.
Glyph of stars will feel nice for the first few days and it gets old real quick looking at that same color all over you day in and day out. It would be better if they got rid of the coloring from this glyph and just left the stars or something like that.
Both suck for any long term play.
They need to come out with a new glyph letting druids just be in caster form without any hard color associated with it.

Speaking of flashy, I saw a video of the scalecommander augmentation evoker yesterday, and hot damn. It looks flashy.
Don’t know why they felt it needed that music though.

Elemental Shaman is one of the most fun specs in the game. I don’t really think it needs big reworks. 
I use Glyph of Stars, always. I love Balance Druid, it’s my favorite spec in the game, but I want to see my transmog.
Its a LavaBurst bot, which is why scripters used it to get PVP rewards in Arena.
Also, the hero talents, from what i read aren’t looking great.
I saw a clip of stormbringer ele in action. I thought it looked cool. Like Palpatine! Of course there’s a difference between looking cool and feeling good. So who knows.

What spec do you play, and which hero talents do you prefer?
Personally I’d say play Warlock instead of Boomkin. Affliction is looking good if you’re into dots plus demo and Destro are getting some cool new demons. Boomkin is ok but the spell sound effects are kinda annoying to me, and it’s definitely less flashy than ele or warlock. Boomkin have some cool customizations now though, they do look nice.
This thread reminds me…I need to go try for the fire cat skin again…my main druid kinda took on a flame druid look with the red armor from Amirdrassil and flaming fork…the flaming moonkin form as well. Surprised we got no like…flame bear form…or flaming werebear as I don’t count the fel one as flaming…the fel one is well a demon variant or fel druid variant in my book.
I love Druids to death, but I don’t know if it’s a good replacement for Shaman. I assume you like flashy spells, then perhaps Mage is the best option?
