Boomkin --- How much Mastery to Haste?

Hello SpaceFalcons!

I have a question for you.

On my Boomkin I have been prioritizing Mastery over all and my current Mastery to Haste is:

32% Mastery
13% Haste

I ran my character through Raidbots Stat Weights to see if maybe Haste would now be valued higher and here is the output:

Stat Weights

Intellect 2.97
Mastery 1.12
Versatility 1.09
Critial Strike 1.00
Haste 0.88

  • 1 point of Intellect will increase your DPS by 2.97

So it appears that haste is still valued lower even though its @ 1/3 of Mastery.

I wanted to check in with other players as maybe I am not interpreting this correctly and I want to see how your Mast/Haste breakdown.

All depends. Are you talking about ST or multi target fights? Long fights? Short fights? What covenant? There are a lot of factors, because at 201 when I sim stat priorities I get haste as my best stat for aoe fights and that’s with haste at 15% atm while running night fae.

The only reason Raidbots would be valuing Haste lower than Vers and Crit is if you’re Night Fae and your current Crit is significantly lower than your Haste, because Convoke benefits more from Vers and Crit than it does Haste (but Boomkin has a lot of baked in Crit so its not as important), and you would gain more damage out of adding any crit than you would stacking more haste (which is why Crit is just barely edging out Haste in your report).

Kyrian is Mastery > Haste > Vers > Crit
NF is Mastery > Vers > Haste > Crit

And as you can see in your stat weight report, ilvl > stat balance except on ring/neck of close ilvl since they lack primary stat, especially if the lower ilvl item has either of your two best secondary stats as the heavy weight.

I’m going with the assumption that he left it on ST, most people don’t change it off of the default Patchwerk sim.

It’s unlikely to matter which sim though. As NFae, haste is devalued. With eclipses (and especially BOAT legendary) crit also gets devalued.

I’ve since changed some gear but I was around 35% mastery with very low haste, around 7%. Haste only passed mastery on single target (just). It was still much lower on burst AOE, sustained AOE and burst single target.

With the current build everyone’s going (NFae/BOAT) - mastery and vers are usually valued very highly.

For the record, the sims I use are:

  • Unbuffed, patchwork 1 target, 3mins (ST).
  • Unbuffed, patchwork 5 target, 40secs (AOE/m+).
  • Unbuffed, patchwork 1 target, 20secs (burst ST).
