Blizzard - Can you please make it so Bonfire’s Blessing can be toggled off. I’m currently trying to tame Degu on my 120 hunters. Since Degu needs to be at 30% to be tamed, and fully naked that buff hits for 3x his health pool, you have to have the world’s worst luck with procs to be able to tame him currently.
Be careful with essence procs too. I was trying to help a guild mate get their ICC glory done and one procced and one-shot LK 
I have no gear on currently. No passive abilities, no bow, no pet. It is a naked tauren hunter punching a porcupine that is spontaneously combusting.

I don’t understand why those were not added to the scaling they gave other rare spawns with the challenge buff. I only have one because it was such a nightmare to tame at max level.
I’d do a /who and get a lvl 95-100 player to come smack it for you. Offer them some gold for their help. Or if you have a ton around that level, see if you can create a group and party sync down so you’re not hitting it so hard.

Finally got it. The Buff has a 45 second internal GCD. had to augment my melee with heirloom gear to ensure i could hit him for 70% of his life, and when he spawned (16th time is a charm) i went and hit everything i could to trigger the GCD before coming back to hit him once.

Wouldn’t the Soft Foam Sword work in this case? I guess it would be worth a shot.

I was going to suggest this also. It will take a trivial mob to 10% health and stun them for a couple seconds.
I was just reading up on it, and if it doesn’t work against elites, then that would be a problem with the rare in question, unfortunately.
I’ve never experimented with an elite but I don’t think that matters. Does the description suggest it won’t?
Edit: Hm, it seems the comments from 2016 do suggest that it has to be a non-elite. I guess I might have to go test it to see if that’s still the case, just out of curiosity.
Soft foam sword does not work. Might be a named thing.
6 years and it’s still an issue.
Finally got the mob down to tamable range without killing it and bonfire goes off.
Give us the option to remove or toggle the buff off. If someone want’s the buff, they can go to a bonfire to get it.
The visual is hilarious tho.
