With my hunter (on this realm at ~7:20 pm server time) Bogpiper fell through map. Then my pet did. then I did. I killed Bogpiper but was then stuck.
I ran to “edge”, hoping it would kill me. Instead, it left me running mid-air. I did Alt-F4. Restarted game. Still stuck. Am trying Stuck Character Service. That worked in getting me unstuck. Except, I couldn’t “Inspect the fungi.”
What a giant waste of time.
Edit: I couldn’t do the inspection “under” the map.
This has been around since release. This is the quality bar of game now, as there has been no acknowledgement of the bug and it has been reported several times.
If you get the instance where Bogpiper is at the beginning of the instance, he can “muck charge” out the instance door or into the water. Both of these scenarios will drop him through the map (and you also if you follow him). When getting this delve story, keep him pointed away from the water and the entrance so that he can’t charge the wrong direction.
Unfortunately, Delves are still so new the only near guaranteed fix is leaving and resetting. The one where the Pagsly Npc loots treasure while you fight off Kobolds also bugs sometimes and he stops looting.
Update: as of Feb 2025 this can still happen. Hopefully it gets resolved soon.
Still happens.
It happened in a s1 delve, I think Tak-Rathan Abyss, never seen it happen before, and I ran a TON of delves season 1. One of the Harpoon baddies fell thru the map near the puzzle, but more on the hill section.
