Why is Blizzard so short sighted to not see or simply not care about the issue with raid epics in some cases being BoE? This has caused so many issues from griefing claiming its an upgrade then turning around and selling it. Further most Eye of Eternity 10m/25m have SNR and the Tramplers on hard reserve and not for use but to end up being sold at insane prices. Many of these items are considered the best item for that slot in the current phase as well.
Simple fix would simply making all raid epic drops BoP and its a very popular view held by most players.

i think it’s a good thing that BoE epics exist and tear some guilds apart with drama. it happened to me in SoM with Teebu’s Blazing Longsword.

Are you good enough to raid with?
SNR is a minor upgrade from plenty of other rings, the badge ring is pretty close in stats. If you really care that much about such a small upgrade then hard res it yourself or run with your guild instead of crying about it.
But then non-raiders would complain that they have no access to raid gear. Blizzard can’t please everyone.
why do they need raid gear, again?
Blizzard addressed this concern somewhat with the Cenarion Circle Badges, Argent Dawn Insigneas, and Dungeon 2.0 sets. Each offer gear that is comparable to, and in some cases surpasses, the loot found in raids.
I think that adding more alternative pathways to obtaining powerful gear is good for the game (as long as a proper time/effort investment is maintained, of course).
