So, I don’t know if this isn’t exactly a bug because it may be an undocumented change, but if you accidentally sell a BoE to a vendor it automatically changes to Warbound until Equipped. Can we change this? If I accidentally sell an item I was planning on putting on the auction house I’m screwed because now it’s essentially BoP. I just sold a BoE that sells for a lot of gold accidentally and learnt this the hard way. Please change it to a timer at least

Have you tried selling it, logging out, and using item restore? Using item restore may give it back to you without it being warbound?
Unless it converts to bop, it may be worth a try. I would investigate with a friend trying it with a cheap boe and then go for it if it keeps it boe.
That may work, but that’s kind of a pain in the butt to have to do every time you accidentally sell an item that you could feasibly just buy back quickly if you realize your mistake.
When you buy it back it should remove the appearance from your collection and return the item to BoE. It changes to warbound because you learn the appearance which is a nice convenience but still frustrating in situations like yours.
Yeah that’s a great feature I will agree, which is why I propose a compromise where you have a timer to buy a BoE back before you learn the appearance. Once it expires you learn the appearance and it goes warbound.
Not meant to be a permanent fix. Just maybe something to alleviate your issue, and others, until they correct it.

It’s because you get the appearance when you vendor. And I MUCH prefer it that way. I like that I can just vendor my junk and get appearance vs have to equip every single thing before I vendor. If this happened to me, i’d just learn to be more careful at what I vendor and I would give it to an alt or something.
Also BoE’s aren’t going to sell great right now since it’s end of the expansion and you’ll replace it as you level, just cause stuff is on the AH for a high price doesn’t mean it sells
How often do you accidentally sell BoEs? 
It happens a lot more than you’d think, because I’m still getting used to a different bag addon
I’m talking about regular transmog BoEs. I farm those a lot to sell on the auction house
I run a lot of old content for mounts/trasnmog etc, and you get the ocassional BoE epic, which usually sells for a bit, and cleaning out inventories after runs, quick selling tons of BoPs you defintely accidently sell quite a few BoE’s, I agree there needs to be some way to buyback and lose the transmog so it becomes BoE again…
Before this, the item became BoP if you sold it and bought it back.
No it didn’t. I’ve accidentally sold boe items to a vendor before the update and bought them back and they were still boe. I’m used to it, now, 6 months later.
