You know I don’t have a problem with people that want to need on boe when there is no one that actually plans to use it but when you got a person in the party or 2 in the party that both can use the item and want to use it. trying to brow beat them just because you want to sell it and you can seem wrap your head around the idea that maybe the player doesn’t want 50 or even a 1000 gold that they would have to sit and wait for the market to be able to even afford . maybe they just want to upgrade their dam weapon and they should be allowed to have the weapon if they plan to use it.

Anyone needing a BoE Blue or Purple item while others greed should always be treated as a Ninja in every PUG if they do not explicitly have the conversation ahead of time to do differently.
Everyone needs BoE. If you want it, you can buy it off them or at the AH.

why should they pay your for something that dropped for the party. they plan to use it. your really gonna try to claim that the party gets to tax players just because they got lucky and a item that they need dropped for them?

This. Everyone “needs” the BOE for the gold just like you do. Following these rules everybody would need on everything because everything has a monetary value. The idea of everybody needing on everything is by itself so stupid that it alone should prove the point that we dont need on BoE based on its monetary value.

It’s the only way to prevent ninjas in PUGs. That’s why.
If you want to setup different rules for Guild and Friend groups, thats cool, but if you do, you give up the right to be upset when a Hunter needs on BoE Cloth and wins on a roll over your healer buddy. You had the tools to stop them.

I solve this problem by need rolling all BOE’s to avoid getting ninja’d.
If I win the boe and someone in the group wants to equip it as an upgrade I will just give it to them.

so you are being a ninja i think your missing the problem here running along side you is a player going hey i want to equip that piece of gear. yet you just took it away from said player even though you only want it for the monetary value.

Lol see how this doesnt work? Just because you have the tools to stop someone doesnt mean you should have to proactively assume your going to need them and always be ready to use them.
Just because i own a gun doesnt mean i should just shoot at random people that wrong me because i can. Just putting your foot down all the time and needing on things on the off chance that someone will try to ninja is both ignorant and rude for the other teammates who must now do the same. And if somebody ACTUALLY needed it they cant get a fair roll for it now, because need is already taken.
This logic doesnt go very far when you actually parse it out and think about it.

Yeah i know, thats how analogies work, you take two different things in similar situations to try and deduce a point when cross referencing them.
In this case both people had the chance to stop the issue, but in both cases they shouldn’t have to, the other person should just act like an adult and not ninja.

When BOE drop i see how the group rolls. You have like 2 minutes to roll. If a warrior rolls need on cloth ill do it as well. If it looks like a legit upgrade for someone ill greed roll.
