Careful…whether i agree with you or not this thread will probably get locked.
What you have said definately falls under freedom of speech as you didnt directly incite violence but its 100% against the ToS to name and shame someone even if it is necessary.
“Message brought to you by OP, to make sure you know he considers himself a good person”
It’s a crazy world out there but don’t forget about OP!
Proof:
FACT: OP is a decent person with values… he told us so!
I’m sure Kotick will be here on the WoW forums to read this just as soon as he gets back from 4chan
I agree I should be careful. But there is an odd irony that shaming those who do wrong will get flagged for deletion before Bobby Kotick’s manipulative ways will be addressed.
Leave it to the man who threatened his former assistant 15 years ago, and Blizzard has done nothing about it but defend him.
IRONIC.
I don’t think you understand what a “weak” leader is.
Bobby Kotick may be a total scumbag, but his leadership of Activision over the years has been undeniably strong and effective.
He’s basically like Lord Voldemort. He has done great things. Terrible, yes… but great.
You know he doesn’t read the forums, right?
He doesn’t read these forums.
Weak leaders do terrible things while manipulating the good deeds.
Strong leaders don’t let terrible things happen. Period.
People really need to learn when and when not to play this card…
No, strong leaders build successful companies. And ABK, whatever you may think of them ethically, is a strong company.
Bobby is many negative things, but “weak” isn’t one of them.
I don’t believe one becomes a top ceo in the world by having decent human and business values. It’s pretty expected of them to be d bags.
Writing on forums is not freedom of speech… That’s not how freedom of speech works at ALL.
He is weak. But please keep defending him. You’re doing great.
Please explain how I am defending Bobby Kotick when I compare him to Lord Voldemort.
The difference you’re looking for is between good and bad, not strong and weak.
Strong leaders accomplish what they set out to do, which is what he’s done. Good leaders do good things, bad ones don’t. He’s not weak, but he is bad. You can be a terrible person and still effectively lead. A sense of morality is optional.
If you look around the world there’s plenty of awful leaders who still do a ton of things and stay in charge.
not to worried about this thread, that is very brave btw, will be deleted.
according to reports, most of the Blizz team are not only physically walking out, but they are also digitally off.
they are not working on anything blizzard in solidarity with those that have physically walked out. good for them.
I hope something happens, the working folks on the actual teams deserve better than what this leadership is giving them.
