Apparently if you look on Reddit he is classified as a 3rd rate act. Behind Springsteen etc. I was stunned to find this out.
Found nothing online to suggest he gets his due. What gives?

He has sold 75 million albums in his life time so obviously they’re wrong.

Underrated? He’s massively overrated. You can’t turn on a classic rock station in the midwest without hearing him several times a day.

You know what hurts my feelings? I like Bob Seger. But watching football the other day, “Like a Rock” was playing behind a car commercial. I guess he needed the money. But it hurt me.
He is fervently against the wind.

I mean, it’s not like Springsteen is a nobody; ranking behind him doesn’t make Seger underrated.
Yeah, but radio is weird. For example, the only song you hear off BOC’s Fire of Unknown Origin album on the radio is “Burnin’ for You” even though it’s in the bottom half of the album.
It goes a bit deeper than this btw.
While I like Blue Oyster Cult, they have one hit more than Head East (a one hit wonder). One of those being a song you consider bottom half.
Isn’t Bob Seger dead now? I think he OD’ed in some hotel bathroom on some bad smack.
