Anyone else having trouble with friends chat on Bnet?

It’s stuck showing a conversation from last night and I have no way to scroll up or down. All I can do is stretch the window down and it shows more messages, but only so many before I can’t move the window any higher on my screen.
Also this other bug has been happening for a really long time, so I imagine it’s on my end, but every time I first get an out-of-game message and go to look at it, the chat window is completely black. The only way I can read the messages are if I close the window and reopen it by clicking on my friend’s name.
I’m experiencing that first issue as well, but I’ve found a work around for it. Click on ‘Chats and Groups’ at the bottom of the friends list on battle net. Everything seems to work normally in that window at least.
I am having the same issue and it is driving me nuts. I cannot stand the inline chat because it pops active people to the top and I keep accidentally messaging random people. The pop out window is frozen and gives no comment/reply ability. Please fix it soon.
I started getting this after a recent Bnet update. Sometimes I can minimize/maximize the chat a few times and it will cause the chat box to reappear. Sometimes not.
I found kind of a fix for this issue. If I open up the chat, it’s always in the middle of a previous conversation, but if I start typing, it snaps to the bottom, to allow me to read what I’m typing. It’s the only way to get it to show the most recent messages at the bottom. But if it moves too fast, there’s no way to scroll back up to see older messages. There’s still no scroll bar or scroll wheel functionality.
I’ve had to resort to using the mobile app to see the messages, as that actually works.
It seems that it’s still bugged. Maybe some in game reports would get it attention, but I doubt it. My friend is still struggling with a bug that affects story progression and even the new race unlock and he can’t get into a chat with a GM. It’s been about a month now.
I also am having issues with Battle.net app chat. I open mine and also cannot scroll down to see the most recent messages people have sent me. I also do not have a chat box to reply to them. I have contacted Blizzard about this, but they told me to just come to the forums and post. I hope they get this fixed soon because this has been a problem for weeks now and it is super frustrating! I have to go to other methods (discord, text, FB chat), IF I have those people on other methods, and message there to tell them that I can’t see what they have said to me. It irritates me to no end that support just pushes us off to the forums instead of fixing the issue.
No, you guys - you just click in the box anywhere in empty space, like in a chat message you sent or you received, and then hit a key on your keyboard.
I would highly recommend avoiding using Bnet chat for the time being, unless in-game, as it still shows fine in the game chat box. If you fear you might have missed a message, check the mobile app. Everyone should have that anyway, as it’s how you use the current authenticator. If you don’t have a mobile device, maybe just Discord.
This issue is caused by the standalone popout chat. Disable this in the options. The button to open chat in a new window will still be there, and it will then cause the issue again, so you need to stay in the default chat window.
Also, you want to report this on the launcher or on the battlenet forums.
This issue has been around for the past 2-3 months and blizzard had yet to fix this… Yes if you disable the popup chat window and revert back to normal chat works, but this shouldn’t be the final solution to this fix. Blizzard needs to fix this asap seeing how its a issue on their main app.
