Is there a way to remove yourself from other people’s friends list… Like does blocking them remove that?
What happens when you delete a friend? Do you stay on their list?
I haven’t been able to play retail and I kinda want to resub my old account and prep for DF.
There’s just some people I want to avoid. High drama guildies. I’m not quite sure how.
If you drop a BNet friend, it drops from their side too.
Tauren above me is correct B net goes both ways and requires the two of you to remain friends, if one person removes the other then they’re cut off completely.
The other person can still make a character on your realm and make your character a friend and there’s no way around that other than, you know changing names or something.
If you’re in the guild with them, they’ll still see you online. Nothing can stop that.
Character friends, no can do. You can ignore them but I’m pretty sure you’ll show up on their list regardless.
BNet friends, if you remove them it’s a mutual affair. You won’t appear on their list.
For battle net, correct?
You can make it so your name doesn’t show up on other peoples list.
Like, a friend you’re friends with - you can make it so their friends can’t see your name, if you chose that option, when looking through their friend list.

Um, cold shoulder usually works. You shouldn’t feel like you need to go into hiding. Remove them from your lists, and ignore them.
Everyone is right, on the Bnet app if you remove a friend, you are removed from their list too. It is MUCH more secure than the in-game lists.
In-game on the other hand, if they still have you as a friend, you may appear on the WoW specific friends list.
Just be careful on that.

I already jumped ship from the guild so I figured a name change and I should be good to go.
Unless a name change updates the friends list (character)
It will update, though they might not know who you are.
Best is just to log in on some ungodly hour like 4AM and delete them from your friends list.
Iirc a name change so long as they’ve added that character to their friends list will still show up. I think the best option here is to block these people.

If they have your old name saved it will update to the new one. Makes it easy to figure out who it is still.
