Hi, is there any way for me to completely wipe my bnet chat history out?

Not at this time as far as I know.

Well, I suppose there is the “nuclear” option: ask Blizz to delete the entire account. But that’s a bit …excessive, and completely irreversible.

Just to be clear, you are inquiring about more than the clear chat that’s in the BNET app?

Yeah, I mean, just clear the history. if I just “close the chat” thingy, it will return when I reinstall / log onto another computer. The old messages will all be there again. I want to clear those.

Hey there,

There is no way to do it globally, but it is possible within the app. Instructions:

Open the Battle.net application
Click Social
Open the friend chat you want to clear
Click the little down arrow to the right of their Battletag at the top of the chat.
Click “Clear Chat History”

Note, the feature described above is specific to the Battle.net application and the Friend’s Chat. Groups, Guilds, and Individual games will not have this same feature.
