Yeah I’d recommend the full package on a low bandwidth connection, I’ve found it quite useful over the last couple of years for these types of situations. I use a separate, slow but stable, 6mb DSL in a rural area for gaming. My primary connection (SpaceX’s Starlink) stability can vary in gaming widely at random for a multitude of reasons.
I too found the band width limiter doesn’t work. Annoying from Australia with our 4th world internet. It use to work though….
OP, download glasswire and tell us how much data the thing is downloading.
glaswire will also show the servers its connecting to.
