Since I spec BM, I see a couple of issues and was wondering if anyone else has the same thing.
- Unable to call pets while in combat
- Pets are slow. While running through an instance or out in the world, pets lag behind.
Since I spec BM, I see a couple of issues and was wondering if anyone else has the same thing.
Pets only move slow when engaged in combat, been a problem since forever.
I see. And that is a problem that needs to be fixed. When in an instance, say you die and have to run back, I cannot call my pet’s cause “in combat” or, once combat is over and I do call them, they are stupid slow cause “in combat” so I dismiss them, but cannot call them back.
I mean at this point, my spec is basically unplayable or at least a lame duck cause of limited abilities. This can force a player to switch to say Marksman which for me is not good as I have played BM for over 10 years.
I’ve never heard of or had this issue of not being able to sumom my pets in combat tho. Only their mov speed that is slow in combat, but kill command often teleports them, also barb shot makes them leap, I think, to the target
Whenever I’m engaged in combat and the target is on a different level I have to dismiss and resumom pets because they get stuck in ledges all the time.
Me either. It doesn’t happen often, but sometimes my pet was dismissed from riding something, and I forget to bring it back out at the next fight. When I realize nothing is happening with KC, I summon the pet no problem. I haven’t tried this in an instance, but I haven’t had a problem in the open world.
Unsure what could be causing this.
As for pets being slow and generally annoying, it’s just part of the ~hunter experience~.
That’s new.
[gives Blizzard the stink eye]
What’d you do this time?
Yeah.
Mostly happens with cats/spirits because their cloak ability slows them down, but my dragon has been known to do it. just gotta dismiss and recall.
It’s just better to turn this off since their delay in entering combat/keeping up with mobs diminishes the damage bonus.
I disable the stealth on those, it’s annoying if nothing else lok
Is your pet dead when you try to call it?
Yup, I’m using the Sin’Dall without stealth personally.
Never had this happen. I’m going to ask a dumb question now… is your pet dead?
Also never had this happen. They stay at my side. Like others said, in stealth they are slow.
If you tell them to attack they are slow to run if charge is on cool down. However ferocious bite at a distance acts like a warrior charge.
No, my pet isn’t dead. Also, happened twice today in Pools, my pets were there fighting, and just disappeared. And no, I could not call them. And no, I turn stealth off on pets, its annoying to have it on.
This is a new one I’ve been seeing. If I don’t summon my pet before a M+ starts and combat is initiated, I have had to try 3-4 or more times to summon my pet. It’s super annoying. It’s as if I didn’t even hit the button. ![]()
This has always been the case when you’re in combat. I know I’ve been seeing it a lot in M+ with the shades week since we run off and leave the shades, but remain in combat.
There’s also the mend pet glitch if you take Call of the Wild. Mend pet will consistently turn into rez pet while the pet is alive. It’ll eventually heal it if you spam it enough, but it gives mend pet no cooldown.
I’ve never had a problem calling my pet in combat, but I have had issues lately if they die it can become a process to call them back with the game telling me that “you have no pet” and then “you’re pet is dead”, try to rez and “you have no pet”.
Was it on the upper ring of Pools and did they maybe start fighting some itty bitty elemental off to the side while the rest of you all moved on? Pets will auto-unsummon when you get too far away, though there aren’t a lot of situations outside of ridiculously large raid boss rooms where you’ll see that. (The range is VERY big. They don’t unsummon until they’re almost off the edge of the minimap when it’s zoomed out to show the maximum it can.)
Been BM for a LONG time, never seen this issue. Were they dead?
My pets only have issues keeping up with me when I am engineer boosting or speed boosting through things, but they catch up fast enough. Other than that, they are ahead of me attacking things.
That shouldn’t be an issue as they should swap targets when you moved to the next group.
Yes, BM is a toilet spec.
