Essentially, what are the two pets I would desire for M+, and, PvP? And how do I got about getting them? Thank you.
I use a clefthoof for M+ and a raptor for PvP. In PvP, however, it’s always good to have a couple options based on what you’re up against. A raptor is always a solid choice though, as it gives Master’s Call and Mortal Wounds.
wow-petopia .com is a good place to find pets.
Thank you sir. Petopia is pretty neat
I use a spirit beast for the extra life and heal. However, if nobody has lust then I switch to a ferocity pet.
Raptor for PvP
Spirit Beast for PvE
Ravager for Bloodlust + Mortal Wounds when your group doesn’t have lust and/or needs the healing reduction.
Bonus: Water Strider, in case you ever need water walking.
There is an easy to find/tame spirit beast on the dragon isles that’s really cool. Look up Bloodgullet on wowhead and it will tell you where to find it and how to tame it. You can also tame Elegon in Mogu’shan Vaults, MoP raid, for another spirit beast. It’s unique looking because it still looks like a star constellation like it does in the raid.
Thok in Siege of Orgrimar is a unique looking lust pet as well.
Most of the time you’re going to be brought in for lust which is a serious PIA, having to keep switching out pets throughout the dungeon.
for pvp i run with these 5 in my stable
undead raptor (when i need freedom / more kiting)
normal raptor (when against Ret Pally)
hydra (when i need extra hp / extra healing against super high burst class). running this a lot now
undead devilsaur (if i want leech / lust and don’t need kiting)
scorpion (leech / lust vs ret pally)
i’ve also heard of ppl using spirit beasts now but i am not sure if they are good rn. just picked my hunter back up after 2 seasons off it so maybe i’m outdated, let me know if so
In PvP I generally use raptor pits and sometimes the river beast. I don’t know how exact it is but from what I found, ferocity type pets seem to do more damage with versatility, whereas cunning pets seem to do more damage with haste. Probably shouldn’t be an issue if you’re a haste/ versatility build, but I at least try to have it around 15% crit before the buff in pvp.
Thok is my go to pet though I’ve renamed him RowRowOhh because a T-Rex can’t row a boat with those little arms.
