BM Hunter?

Is Bm Hunter really going to be that bad in season 2 now just a couple of weeks ago on the ptr i thought they were above mid now i am seeing so many post and videos saying them and marksman are trash now!! i hope they are not complete trash they are finally getting hunters mark on five targets and btw needs an aoe talnet you know everyone would take it in mythic + setting

If you love your pets enough, it wont matter.

Marksman has been trash for awhile now, BM is boring and Surv violates the Geneva convention.

As an Alt, BM is still one of the best as it’s easy to play and has good survivability.

BM is still viable, but it would be better if they gave us our tool kit back. BM really got over pruned.

It really did since there wasn’t anything there to begin with.

They removed the stuff people used to farm with, Multi and Barrage, hey… fu people who like to do old content for collections.

It’ll be fine. Just play what you want. You deserve that.

Did they fix the issue with 90+% of BMs damage being only during BW?

The answer to that is always, no.

I enjoy playing my BM hunter. I do miss having an AOE ability like multishot or barrage or explosive trap (AOE is through your pet only), and during those seconds in between TBW, it feels like you are firing wet noodles. But in spite of this, I still enjoy playing the spec.

I can’t speak in regards to raiding or mythics as I don’t do those. But when I first started doing delves, many of them were challenging and I left behind a few gravestones. As my gear improved, delves became much easier and I now go through T11 easily without any problems. I also solo some of the rares or elites in Val and Naigtal.

I checked in on it and apparently there’s minmaxing stuff you can do where you want to cancelaura beast cleave whenever you need to do priority damage, which is annoying if dark ranger ends up being better because it procs off of black arrows. Aside from that big ol pile of nonsense I’m not sure it’s going to be any better or worse relative to where it is now.

bm jumps around almost weekly. some times its good, sometimes its bad, mostly its mid, if a bit under mid

as a bm player i just get used to it. if people start bit… “complaining” i just ignore them and do as good as i can with what the game gives me

There used to be 2 bots standing in the murloc zonein azure span, a bm hunter and a paladin.
The hunter fired barrage in to the air and the paladin hammered the stuff out of them when they got close.
that program would run day and night for days no matter how many times you reported them.

I think that is the reason wow nerfed barrage, so you cant farm areas without player input.

Just a hunch, dont get ticked at me.

I love my pets just fine.

The mandatory swarm of nameless rando-animals I could do without.

I did see a post that mentioned some sort of bots using multi-shot as well.

I have to admit I’ve never been very good at being able to tell the difference between when BM is good or bad.

Doubt it since BM is a 40 yard melee class

Oh no, the AFK spec might actually be bad? Perish the thought!

Anyway…

BM is more engaging than people give it credit for. For example, I need to worry about where my pets are before I use Bestial Wrath, as it has a frontloaded damage. If I pop it too early, I lose out on much DPS. Too late, and my CDs will no longer align with important boss abilities.

It’s called BM for a reason.
