Is it supposed to say that it works with kill shot and not cobra shot?
Does this mean I need to take Hunter’s party?

Yeah, it procs Serpent Sting when you cast Kill Shot. I haven’t seen anyone taking both Venom Bite and Hunter’s Prey, you only need one to get to Dire Beast talents. Kill Shot damage is still awful and 2 talent pts to get essentially 10% more pet damage isn’t worth it
