Hey mate try simming you stats with raidbots. Will give you a really good indication as to what stats will be best for your current setup. You want to stack as much crit and haste on gear as you can.
With raidbots website, have the simcraft addon installled and copy the simc with /simc straight into raidbots and that can help a ton to get to ideal stat weights
In PvE Ilvl is King but you want to try for Crit>Haste>Ver>Mastery. Once you get ~30% Crit you will start to see some diminishing returns. You don’t need to actively go looking for Crit/Haste gear, usually the ilvl, socket and dom sockets help make the decision. Also Covenants can come into play just a bit. For Example Haste benefits Venthyr just a little more than the rest. If you are not familiar with SimC and Raidbots I suggest that you look into them, there are tons of video’s and guides on how to familiarize your self with simming. Don’t use PAWN or Ask Mr Robot.
I have 32% crit and 22% haste and 14% verse and 17% mastery and sims are telling me to keep putting points into crit and verse. So I would lower that haste and if you can your mastery and put everything else into crit and verse.
Based on your characters gear etc, a Stat Weights sim gives the following values
Stat Weights (1 point of equals dps)
Agility - 4.16
Versatility - 2.12
Critical Strike - 1.83
Mastery - 1.75
Haste - 1.62
Weapon DPS - 17.67
If you’re using the addon Pawn, you can just import the following string and it will show you if an item you mouse over is an upgrade for any ST scenario or not:
Keep in mind that Stat Weights change with every single new item you equip, so this method for tracking upgrades isn’t all that good. You can use it ofc but in that case, I would argue that you might as well use the Simulation Craft addon and import the complete strings you get from typing /simc in the chat, in-game into the Top Gear-section on Raidbots. From there, the website will generate all your equipped items + whatever you have in your inventory(and the choices you get in the Great Vault), and you can pick whichever items you want to sim.
Note that if an item you have on you/in the inventory isn’t enchanted or has an empty gem slot, you have to select default gems/enchants etc on Raidbots to get more accurate numbers.
I am currently using 41% crit, 21% haste, 17% mastery, 12% versa. When simming the mastery definitely had the least effect on my dps, very useless stat atm. I am Venthyr though so I swap between the Venthyr legg on legs (I use it for raiding) and rylakstalkers on legs for m+ it’s a little more consistent in m+ than the Venthyr one.
IMO right now pawn and stats priority are relatively useless. As BM, you need to be constantly simming with each new piece of gear. While Crit is still #1, Vers has a bigger presence now (for some reason). Haste, of course, is still good too. My crit is too low atm… I like to have it over 30% but raidbots is telling me my current stats are giving me the best dps (based on my current available gear/gems/enchants). So don’t base your gear decisions on stats right now… sim baby… SIM!!!
