BM Hunter most easy / op class in the game

That’s easy(pun is a hint). We can’t make the spec too hard for people to learn and master, correct? Let’s not pretend Focus is an actual mechanic…but Cobra is something for them to cast. A toy to play with?

To think how looooonnng, has this been goin’ onnnn…

Edit: Before I go to bed, remember the last time SV was good? The short-lived Mad Bombardier days? Remember how EASY it was to spam KC to get those procs? To do GREAT damage, you only needed to keep KC on CD without overcapping on WFB.

Nobody would have gotten more ticked off about it than BMs. No Hunter spec should ever DARE be easier to play than BM, and even better in DPS to boot. It doesn’t begin to sound crazy, but it does when we should continue to allow BM, MM, and SV to live in the same house.

So remember how the mainstream Hunter community TRASHED an excellent SV system. SV pumping the high numbers as LITERALLY a two-button spec?

“HOW DARE YOU!” --Greta Thunberg who mains BM.

please don’t come back after you go to bed so we don’t have to read this drivel

Why do you ask this question only to then give an example of post-Legion SV at its worst?

The last time SV’s gameplay was good… was before Mad Bombardier, or… right now (not great, but plenty good — a better equilibrium between smoothness and having things to actually do than BM or MM).

The “mainstream Hunter community” didn’t trash Mad Bombardier, if that’s what you’re referring to. SV veterans preferred having some actual engagement in their gameplay, rather than having less skill expression than BM did at the time.

  • I mained SV right up until Mad Bombardier, because its resultant expected gameplay felt so degen. At which point the only recourse for me was to swap to MM for my sanity.

I don’t need to rebut what you just said. It proves exactly what I argued.

It’s not lost on me that SV veterans are apparatchiks for that mainstream concentrate. More engagement with abilities played right into it.

Don’t worry: I already know what needs to be done to actually make SV good again, make it great again, and for all time. It’s a simple, and somewhat hard, thing to do.

making cobra shot a generator is a ridiculous suggestion. a generator with no cast time, no cooldown, your entire gameplay would just be spamming your generator and then spamming your spender without any sort of thought

It does not, and, unless you are unaware of the meaning of the words you’ve used, cannot. Players cannot care more about gameplay than performance or ease of play while simultaneously caring more about performance or ease of play than gameplay.

Preferring not to have one’s gameplay degenerated does not make one “communist party members in support of” ease of gameplay above all, nor even any idea that BM alone should be so easy. It’s just a preference for engaging gameplay.

Mix fewer hallucinogens into your metaphor-making and you might yet retain a sliver of sense.

Yes they can, and they do. They are mutually inclusive. Mutually in-clusive. This is how BM spec almost always existed.

The fastest route to the cheese in the maze is both the highest performance and the greatest of ease of play(which means more consistent parsing, fewer player errors). That’s going to be BM every time if we’re talking about Hunter. Might as well give them their own class. They’re not going to all of a sudden switch to SV or MM when those two are the FOTM over BM.

They weren’t even going to switch(mains) to SV. They ruined the spec to spite us. “It is going to go back to BM because this is our class. Our house. It will do exactly as it’s told or it gets the nerf-hose again.”

Because the hippies had taken over our education system here in the States since the 1970’s, wouldn’t we all used to that kind of teaching method?

Facts are stubborn things, and if we don’t learn from history we are doomed to repeat it. You’re free to accept the pravda of the mainstream community, but I promise you(despite you already have a solid plan to rework MM and SV) you’ll never get what you want to see, and if you do, it will be watered down to irrelevance.

Classic is going to have Cata, Mists, and Warlords: the last three expansions Hunter KICKED. EPIC. TAIL.

If we don’t fix this now, the MM and SV mains will migrate to Classic, all the seriously-taken and relevant Retail Hunters will main BM, and Gambol won’t have a nickel for his grandma.

I laughed

“The People’s Class of Hunter” with Beastmaster Spec Party one-party rule. Marksmen and Survivalists that don’t tow the line? “Reeducation” camp, prison, and other “lovely alternatives”.

This is uncannily the best microcosm.

I dumped all my rogues because of button bloat. I mained a rogue since Vanilla, can’t be bothered to play that trash anymore.

The gameplay honestly wouldn’t change much. I usually have 80-100 cobra shots done at the end of a +20-24. The focus regen/cd resets are already so good for BM that you barely use it as a filler as is. There is not enough GCD for BM to get any practical use out of it being a builder because we are already almost GCD capped already. So whats that extra focus going to do if we are GCD locked?

read your reply again. if focus already “isn’t a problem” then there’s no point to tie your focus generation to an ability with no cooldown and no cast time

Why would I need to reread it? You act as though it would make the class broken. I explained why it wouldn’t. It’s not needed, but it also isn’t something that would make the class OP. The gameplay would not be spamming generators because we currently don’t have focus issues to begin with. It would mainly be spenders like it is now anyway.

yes, giving a class a resource generator with no cool down and no cast time would be broken. why do you think no other spec in the game has that??

It’s really hard repeating myself three times. If you don’t understand why it does not matter and would have the most minor impact I’m not sure what else to tell you. Focus is almost a non existent thing for BM.

by your own admission BM doesn’t have a focus problem, so adding a third source of focus gen would be pointless, on top of it being broken lol. i like how you didn’t answer a question at all

The amount of density you possess is astounding and scary at the same time.

why do you think no spec in the game has a resource generator that’s both instant and has no cooldown

The way any of it made sense to me is that with BM having “orange Energy”, there’s no reason to give the spec a focus-building mechanic. That just overcomplicates the spec for the relatively simple. A spec doesn’t need to copy what other specs do.

There’s a reason BM’s gonna BM. There’s a reason they don’t play a spec that requires more attention span like SV and MM more than that.

There is here a “we need to sophisticate BM” argument. Sure, if you want to discontinue the entire class, go ahead. It would be reinventing the wheel, especially when there’s already a better way to do that…
