Hi all, I am having issues with DPS on my Hunter. I have recently started doing H Nya and am failing miserably. I am consist in doing about 25k DPS but can get past it. I am using barbshot kill command and wrath when they are available. Any tips are greatly appreciate
Try increasing your Critical chance to about 50% and have all the procs you can get for crit. I did that and I was doing about 70k dps. So I see some sockets aren’t filled, fingers and weapon aren’t enchanted. Get em all done and grind some echoes to get corruption that increases crit chance. You won’t need more than 50% crit out of combat. With all the buffs it’ll can reach all the way up to 100% and more, so it’s enough.

Would need to see some logs. Cant really see whats going wrong. You say you use everything on CD, but it seems like somethings not adding up, cause your roughtly 15k-20k off from what you should be doing.
Enchants, and corruptions and gems, will definately help some, but even then, adding a couple stats wont help much if your doing something wrong.

Some basic tips that would help:
Don’t spam Barbed Shot on CD. You need to constantly do everything you can to maximize having 3 stacks of Frenzy through the fight. You should also start off the fight by popping BW, then 2 Barbed Shots, AotW and a third Barbed Shot. You’ll instantly have 3 Frenzy stacks through your BW phase without needing to build.
Prioritize 3 stacks of Frenzy period.
Don’t just hit BW the second it is off CD. Instead make sure you have roughly 80+ focus so you can maximize DPS.

I’m inclined to believe this is a troll post.
You have no corruption (cleansed from bow too) and 1 used gem slot.
If not, unfortunately, patch 9.0 is coming end of September (speculation on the 22nd or 29th), and everything changes and we lose corruption. At this time there’s not much point in grinding out corruptions.
Add crit to to gem slots.
Not a troll post for so reason I though the corruption was a bad thing without looking into it so I cleansed it. Now I know that it matters.
I assumed thats what happened. Originally I wondered how much corruption I should have on and I avoided wearing my first few pieces because I hated the purple on my toon and dealing with extra crap trying to kill me.

Talks about low DPS but then fails to enchant his gear.
Some people don’t know about enchants… I was helping ret from my guild who did not know about ring and weapon enchants. I went and brought him the three needed for ret.

Hi OP
You want to try and shoot for about 40% crit without corruptions from gear
Crit and haste are our strongest stats
Corruption wise, aside from the bow from Nylotha, you want to shoot for 3 Severe, 3 Expedient and 1 Masterful
Azerite pieces you’ll want to shoot for
3 primal instincts and
3 dance of death
For cleave fights, you want one azerite piece with Rapid Reload
When in doubt, you can sim the gear you have with
Install the add on also so it can capture what other gear you have in your bags to compare
So yeah… not having the corruption on the weapon is a sizable dps loss. It won’t matter soon, but until then… If you can’t get another one than it will hurt. I would also change your weapon enchant to haste. Or if you can replace your bow with a new one (keep the corruption) then enchant THAT with Gale-force (for the increased attack speed, which means more procs). Unlike others in this thread, I actually think you should gem haste so you get close to 20% as possible. 4% haste will make more of a difference. Also, you might consider swapping Aspect of the Beast talent with Killer Cobra, since extra Kill Commands is ALWAYS a good thing.
Also, for Azerite gear… you should be running either 3x Dance of Death/3x Primal Instincts… Or 3x Dance of Death/2x Primal Instincts and then save the last for either rapid reload (for AoE) or a single Feeding Frenzy if desired.
He objectively asked why his DPS was low and what he should do to fix it. He got an objective answer how to fix it. OP didn’t ask if he SHOULD try and fix it before SL drops, just HOW to. Two completely separate questions that warrant two completely separate answers.
Just read BM Hunter guides. You should have done that first before you ruin your gear becoz right now, it looks liked it’s ruined. Cleansing Whispering Eldritch Bow is catastrophic.
If you want to fix this, get another Whispering Eldritch Bow. Dont cleanse Corruption if you are not sure.

Imagine if I told you that all you had to do was complete a 12 week program to get what you wanted. BUT, there were only 6 weeks left in that 12 week program.

You guys are missing the point. Corruption is about improving his gear. But that’s not the big issue. 25k is way below what his current gear should do, he sims around 54k. 25k is the dps level of Battle for Dazar’alor, at like 410 ilvl before essences, not a 461 with rank 3s.

Furthermore, they may be other reasons we can’t predict without more information. For example, keybindings and how fast you press buttons. It’s common for players with unusually low dps to click their abilities instead of keybinding. You might also not know that you can press an ability a few milliseconds before the cooldown is finished recharging and it will queue up to cast instantly when the cooldown is over. You might also have a slow connection and lose casting time to latency. You can even get some lag if your graphic settings are too high for your computer. There’s tons of reasons that we can’t predict.
Now, I found a few logs that seem like they’re yours and ran them through wowanalyzer. That can help you find out what you did wrong. Here’s a Maut pull where you did 38k (that’s your best log). There’s tons of things to work on if you look at it.
