Is there a counter for BM Huntere in world pvp? Seriously, what class or spec has a good shot vs these guys? And if you say Warlock, i swear to god…
Warlocks, Spriest, Mage, Rogue, Warrior… skill and professions may vary.
Warlock? Non-SL Warlocks get shredded. SL Warlocks cant kill a hunter either, he can just run and eat and re-engage. SL has no mobility.
Spriest is a joke the 1 dot does measly dmg and the Hunter can outrange all his shadow spells. Plus oom in 15 seconds from viper sting.
Mage lol as if Hunters in general didnt crap on mages enough in classic, Bestial Wrath is just salt in the wound. No way a Mage is beating a BM Hunter.
Rogue… Hunters counter these guys even harder than Mages. Trap, flare, tracking, pet, intimidation stun. Even in melee the pet+melee hunter wins that fight.
Warrior is the worst solo world pvp class in the game unless they have a coordinated healer/support backing them up. Never saw a BM hunter lose to a warrior in classic vanilla lol

Hunter is actually one of the worse pvp classes in todays classic. Why? LEEEEEWAY ABUSE… Yep i can hit you 15 yards away cause its “magic”

In wrath or era
BM kinda doodoo in era, its only advantage is intimidation and a slightly better pet.
In Wrath tho, I imagine anyone with a defensive (or vanish) can last til BW is over.
Slightly better? Doesnt it deal like 20% increased damage at all times plus an extra 50% during BW? Seems like a lot to me. The main problem im having on this warrior is being kited by them. My mail armor doesnt seem to help much and i cant catch them with aspect of the cheetah.
Elemental shaman is great into hunter in classic
Ele wears mail with a shield so has a gross amount of armor
Can cleanse viper sting, can throw lvl 1 lightning bolts to daze when they are in cheetah, can grounding totem their freezing trap, can get eye of the storm procs from the pet so they don’t get casting pushback, can alternate frost shock with earthbind when close to stay on the hunter. Full ZG set for more lightning bolt range is great for the matchup. And rocket boots as well
Unless the hunter is insanely good with targeting totems instantly, it’s a hard uphill battle for them.
Druid may also be a good match. Can cleanse viper sting, keep heals on themselves while keeping moon fire and insect swarm on the hunter and kiting the pet in travel form, or intercept the hunter in bear. Just have to have a plan for trap like frost reflector or barovs peasant caller.

Druid is literally worse pvp class rn in classic… The dps is so insanely high with end game gear a druid just gets torched no matter how well u kite/heal run
