I started leveling my monk and i noticed compared to my BDK that brewmaster feels really squishy. My BDK legit never dips and monk seems to take some hard hits even when clearing stagger right away.
I thought i saw people say that they have much better self sustain but is that only at level 90 for apex talents?
I levelled my monk in PvP gear that wasn’t upgraded and was pulling like 4+ packs at a time in dungeons and I don’t think my health ever dropped below 80%. Not sure what’s happening to you, at 90 I was doing mythics outhealing the healer and almost as much damage as the dps without my health dropping below 50% while pulling multiple packs as well.
Yea, it actually felt like I was doing more overall damage as BM than WW so I swapped to it for pretty much everything other than if I wanted to do a dungeon as dps. While sheet dps on WW is obviously higher it’s just the fact you can pull half a t7 delve and never go below 80% health.
Dunno what the OPs build looks like to feel that squishy.
I only felt super squishy when I wasn’t properly maintaining Shuffle. As long as I do the rotation right(blackout kick and tiger palm being 2 out of every 3 or two out of every 4 GCD’s, depending on talent choice), shuffle stays up effortlessly and I don’t spike.
Yeah it’s super easy to maintain shuffle every blackout-kick, spinning crane kick and keg smash applies it, those are like 66% of the buttons a BrM should already be pressing. I feel like maybe the OP is pressing purifying brew before it’s at least yellow (should be pressing it when it goes red). Or maybe they didn’t take vital flame or awakening spirit for the heal / damage reduction, maybe turning their back on mobs? I have to actively try hard to take significant damage as a BrM.
