Yup it still is a AOE nightmare! This is just horrible… who comes up with all this?
Such a shame…
Bear tank with same ilevel as me was out damaging me on AOE pulls when I blew every CD i had. Pretty sad the state of affairs when even playing properly and tab barb shots and proper uptime on beast cleave nets you barely 1 mil - meanwhile other classes bursting to 3,4,5 mil.
Back to marksman I guess ![]()
So what’s wrong with AoE? Is the range on beast-cleave working properly and hitting many targets? or is damage just low?
Damage is trash
I thought SV was the AoE master, what’s up with that.
Everything. the class is just broke ( bm that is )
Bah is a you issue. Back a month or so ago I already mention the buff blizzard put in the annersiy patch won’t do a thing and people were laughing.
I will say it again until BM gets a complete rework damage will still be trash no matter how much blizzard buff the spec
I’d love to hear your thought process on why it won’t fix anything.
Terrible damage, useless spec atm
I have mained hunter since 2004… played BM since 2.0… right now outside of delves bm seems dead.
I was just on my ret payy with 30ilvl lower gear and doing more damage. Granted delves are easier on my hunter but it is a pet class… they are faster on my ret though.
I might remember Ruzaki. Barely. Pretty much all of you were not here until just right now, when your precious main spec got groundnerfed.
Where have you been the last 8 years? Where were you when the Westfold fell, when our enemies closed in around us in the biggest JFK-grade controversy that has ever happened to the game’s community? When a three-spec RDPS class turned into a one-spec RDPS class, snap, just like that, that still carried in its portfolio some pygmy RDPS and an Ephialtes of a melee DPS.
Now all of a sudden, you’re here, complaining about some nerfs. Some, I had gathered, were indeed quite significant. I think it’s a bit too late to be indignant. I don’t know if these are just first-time newbies or not, because it’s been too long. Make no mistake that if this is supposed to be divine retribution, BM deserves to be bad, for multiple expansions. If fair is fair, it will be for how bad MM and especially SV was.
It’s a different Blizzard today too, I don’t know. As far as I’m concerned, you had your time in the sun, and a lot of it. It was perpetual Seattle for the rest of us. If they choose to ignore, I would make my peace with it faster than keeping on complaining. Not to mention there’s WoW alternatives to play, both public and private.
Lot of people complaining about BM being trash. Feel like our ST is still elite. From the looks of the changes coming, we are just getting a slight ST nerf and a decent AoE buff. If you cant pull good ST you may just be terrible at the game because this is one of the easiest specs in the game.
Our ST is strong. We shine in ST encounters that require lots of movement/mechanics because we can keep our rotation going while dealing with it, where some of the other stronger ST classes have more trouble.
Honestly for me it’s not about having good ST or having it nerfed, it’s more about the fact that all the spec that where trash tier like balance druid, fire mage, shadow priest got super buffed as usual and are now A tier or above. Then you have BM that has been down bad since launch, practically no relevant buffs to help and is still struggling to do anything other than now decent ST
I have been around… i dont complain much. I tend to play with things hiw they are but in DF and now TWW grouping outside of dungeon finder with a hunter is near impossible.
My hunter is ilvl 600 (i know its low i just returned to the game) my ret pally is like 578 and my ret smashes in group content.
Honestly delves are slower but easier on the hunter, but not impossible on the paladin and faster just due to higher dps. Keep in mind this is with brann as a healer.
BM needs some help as does MM. No one cares about SV since they killed that spec by making it melee.
There’re already people who are going to say you’re not doing something right, that if you know what you’re doing, you would even find that the nerfs were justified. It’s not a new song-and-dance by far.
My friend got pinched, oddly the same length of time as my last by some fluke, for posting a certain third-party that had the tier set bonuses laid out and his take on them. I don’t know how quick his vacation happened, but it happened quite quick. Now it’s gotten to a point where you can’t cite sources. WoWHead, by some fluke, still gets a pass when there’s no telling what RMT stuff is going on to prop that place up.
All I can say for now is that a bad judgment call was made prelaunch.
Then you honestly don’t really know what you’re talking about.
BM is solid in ST fights.
MM and SV are in pretty solid spots.
There’s nothing wrong with giving more opportunities to play how you want. The issue has always been how Blizzard took away a spec poeple enjoyed to try out their experiment.
To add for Ruzuki’s benefit of consideration, SoD does this AMAZINGLY well and I’m rather surprised we’re not talking more about that. All classes get a questline to receive an EPIC quality weapon. For Hunters, it’s DW swords that enhances melee, but since this is Vanilla we’re talking about, this went back to the time you could carry both melee and ranged weapons. Staves aka stat-sticks have predominated Hunter loot for the longest time; they never really got to enjoy having actual swords.
Since I mained Warlock, I loved the STAFF they got that allows you to keep sacrificing and resummoning instantly demon pets to get powerful buffs.
SoD has the best melee Hunter on the official market, cap-free. Not to mention it’s based on Runes so you can switch from melee to range on the fly regardless of spec. This literally means every Hunter spec in SoD can go melee AND ranged, and interestingly enough, every Hunter spec can go pet or petless.
You came in a few hot seconds after I warned him. Talk about lucky.
It’s already the reductionist “you don’t know what you’re talking about” and “BM is solid in ST fights” without any exposition.
When I was in the can, I’ve lurked about you on this and you ended up getting into a lot of social trouble here. It actually piqued my curiosity, but I have to say that as I’ve gathered from your exchange with Isto, you seemed to have struggled with the basic definition of “competition”. So for Ruzuki’s interest, he’ll want to know that you have a stumbling block about that.
As my homeboy probably have also said, MM is the strongest it ever has been: I’m inclined to agree. But I’m fluent in a language called Comparativese. For my personal honest factinion since this year’s BFest, I don’t find today’s MM a challenge for me anymore. It could be the case that most of the good PvPers emigrated.
As for SV, that remains to be seen. It has most of everything it needs to go RSV all the way now. The melee stuff is “tacked on”, you’re pretty much forced to carry a 2H for Killshot and Coord, but with the right tweaks, it could be as successful as Mad Bombardier.
That’s the antithesis of a game. Games are supposed to be fun and enjoyable, not science labs.
