Unable to install battle.net app. Tried all troubleshooting methods multiple times.

Please advise

Howdy Carrots,

If you had the app installed in the past, it would be best to try a clean reinstall:

  1. Uninstall the Blizzard app. If the app isn’t showing or you can’t uninstall through the control panel, open the install location (C:\Program Files (x86) by default) and manually delete the Blizzard and Battlenet folders.
  2. Next open the temp locations and delete any Battlenet and Blizzard folders you see in each location. Press Windows Key + R and type:
    • %LOCALAPPDATA%
    • %APPDATA%
    • %TEMP%
    • %PROGRAMDATA%
  3. Finally go ahead and reinstall the app from here. Make sure you run as Admin.

If you never had it installed, there’s likely another program causing a conflict such as security software. Try disabling or temporarily uninstalling that, then restart the PC. You can always reinstall that software afterwards.
