Blurry unless at 200% render scale

Could you provide a screenshot maybe? Hard to have an idea exactly what kind of blurriness you’re expecting.

First image is with sharpen on, second with it off.

That’s really bad. Are you running any other software in the background? Did you try the suggestion above? Alienware had an app that was changing values of the system. Windows DPI could easily be the issue as well.

I don’t run any software other than Nvidia experience and control panel and have changed the DPI settings here there and everywhere and yes, it’s horrible, but I thought that was just how it was honestly until I came across a program called Reshade.

Problem was that people were saying this could be against the TOS as some options could make it so you could see certain things in game in a way that would be cheating, than someone mention the post processing options direct from Nvidia and yeh I noticed how much better the game looks.

Than I am reading people saying what I look at is garbage and should not look like this.

I have done clean installs of WoW and Nvidia drivers and ran the game with no addons and it makes no difference, even in the old world the sharpen option is a massive improvement. I done the recommended options through Geforce Experience and it recommends 150% scaling, but with SL out now and the higher population it eats my resources in some areas.

Unless someone gives an exact fix I will just keep trying this or that on whatever new stuff I read until I find why it is so crap. And it’s not like I am running a potato either, it’s not the best, but I can run with sharpen at 10/10 settings with all advanced options off (dynamic spells on) and still get over 60 FPS.

Could you provide a DxDiag report maybe, might notice something there running that shouldn’t be.

Or is there some other report you want me to run?

Ah I mean, run and paste your DxDiag info in a pastebin or on here. Click Save All Information, and either upload the text somewhere or paste it directly here so others can help too.

Maybe you can try forcing Windows scaling to a different value then resetting it back to 100%, it might help to reenable 100% again. Click your Start menu, type Scaling. “Make text size bigger” should be the default entry in there. In the “Make everything bigger” part, set it to 125%, then set it back to 100% again, applying both times. A restart between changes might be beneficial.

Done that. I even went through my DX report and decided to remove MSI After burner, update Razer Synapse and force uninstall Edge (mainly because it’s as BS browser) and still nothing.

I mean it’s great with sharpening, I just wish I did not have to have it on.

I think its msaa being applied to the increased particle effects that causes the blurriness. Same reason I am using CMAA as well. That and Ardenweald with MSAA tanks my fps.

I really do love WOW…Nothing quite makes it for me like WOW
has these past 18 years…But I wish they would upgrade the
graphics and combat mechanics…
Even a fresh ‘re-paint’ would suffice, for starters!
Come on guys…Keep the dream alive!
