RNG(daily quest) on top of RNG(bosses) on top of RNG(extra disc plates). Why? Since release this has been out now 2 days(daily quest) and anyone who didn’t know about the unlimited farming on first day now has to suffer possibly never seeing it drop. Anyone else think this should be added to a loot table elsewhere? Perhaps doing this daily enough times like black market plans?

It’s way too RNG currently. And it will only get harder as time goes by and fewer people are doing Mechagon, making it harder to get all the different elites. This might be okay if it was just some super rare item, but it’s required for the Mechagon meta achievement.
It also feels super bad that so many people got it just because they farmed it before the hotfix. Given there were people that farmed for hours, killing hundreds of elites before getting it, that puts the post-hotfix time table to get it at years with bad luck.

Unfortunately im In that crowd that didnt even now about the data anomoly the first day because i had just gotten flying was taking a break from dailies, now this item is virtually unobtainable.

Are you able to keep killing the elite ones over and over to get the pattern or not?

you can only loot each one once per daily day.

Eh, i got it last time it was up in 1-2 kills. Maybe they buffed the drop rate.
So i can loot each elite per day that the daily is active?
Yeah its pretty dumb how it can only drop from this one daily that is rarely up… on top of that its not even 100% drop. After the hotfix they did, something needs to be done about it.

I have killed all of the different elites today, and so far have only been able to loot two of their bodies. Was this not reset for the day on some of them or something? I feel like I am missing out on chances at this blueprint…
Hmm didn’t realize that the endless farming was a bug, sad thing is I probably sat there tanking the holograms for 2 hours before the blueprint dropped for me too. Yikes, this is a bit extreme if you ask me especially considering mecha-done could take literally months to complete without any other rares having it in their drop table.

Comes only from data anamolys…its not clear if its from every single “unique” data anamoly monster(fire elemental, baron, ect) or first kill only. Regardless there’s 10 data anamoly bosses max…and they are hard to spawn as you need many people.
Yeah, I meant the elite data anamolies, I read on WoWHead that the blueprint comes from the elite ones. My first kill today was a elite one and I couldn’t loot it. On the third different elite one that I killed I was finally able to loot it but only got the Metal Detector. That’s what I meant by are some of them reset, because most of the elite ones I couldn’t loot, and they were the main ones I looted last time it was up.

And for some odd reason it changed my character…Maronia is me, Kasaka.
Blizzard really needs to do something about this blueprint.

Not too sure how it works but I had the exact same issue. I stopped being able to loot all but 4 or 5 spare parts after a few of them.
They really should just put this in the paragon cache, irradiated boxes, and epic recycle boxes.
All I have left is this , I have killed 100’s of Data Amonalys Elites and reg one and don’t the quest every time its been up , have opened 9 restbolt rep chests & still nothing , It seem like its a 0.00001% drop chance of a quest you only get once a week so I am think by 2043 i may get it .

Well my wife and me got it on the same day together so I can say it’s not 0.00001%, you just keep hitting the low bad % IE: You roll a 6 sided dice and want to roll a 1/6 but keep missing.
It is on another loot table. The Paragon Box’s loot table. I got it from the Paragon Box 
I believe it is still possible many people do not know how to get this item (eventually), so here’s what you must do…
- COMPLETE “Discs of Norgannon” quest first when it is up.
- THEN, collect remaining 4 x bonus items, from various mobs and/or rares on the island, which are…
Cracked Numeric Cylinder
Large Storage Fragment
Rust Covered Disc
Scorched Data Disc
- Each of the 4 x Bonus items start a quest to summon (DO NOT complete the quest after summons!)
-
ONCE per day, you can start and use each of those items to summon an elite Data Anomaly. - KEEP 4 x bonus items in inventory
- EACH DAY thereafter, can re-summon using each of 4 x bonus items (unless you made a mistake, and completed that quest)
P.S. Just in case it is obvious, you want to do each of the 4 bonus item’s quest every day (even when Discs of Norgannon is NOT up), but then, DO NOT complete the bonus item’s quest, save the item, and do it again the next day.
P.S.S. This strategy (of course) becomes more powerful with the more alts you have in Mechagon island.
