I would love to see a stripped down version of this. The skirt would be pretty cute on its own. While I hate the look of the Blackmage weave set those leggings would be interesting as pants like that.
On and side note I wish Blizzard would make hats that include hair. Literally a hat with a wig that matches whatever hair color your character has. In the case of bald characters it would default to black or brown.
sigh. once again blizzards is forcing me to buy things. when will the madness stop

Can’t wait to buy it! Thankfully it is all cosmetic, and completely optional. Though it will not stop someone who either hates to, or cannot, spend money from making a thread to complain about it.

Makes me wonder how their earnings reports are looking.

They’re probably rolling in the dough.
What is the point of this post? are you buying everything and complaining the price of items? do you even understand why people actually argue against micro transactions? because it just feels like you’re just hoping on a bandwagon without actually understanding what the argument against them is.
The real argument for this specific transaction is, why is this 30 dollars for just a recolor of sets you get for free? I think if you’re paying for something it should be premium, if it’s the same then it just means they’ll eventually added for free so you’ll be paying $30 to get it before anyone else which is never worth it. If this set had some new animations or easter eggs or at least didn’t clip through weapons or clipped your hair and was actually something premium, then it’d be worth buying.
There was not a post about the new bundle, so I made one and gave an opinion about the amount of cash shop things there have been.
That’s it, there’s no ulterior motive. There was no post about this bundle, now there is. People can be excited to purchase it or they can be annoyed.
WoW’s cash shop is really really small compared to others. FFXiV shop, is massive.

That’s quite depressing to read, actually. I’m fine with there being cash shops but sometimes WoW’s just feels excessively expensive for what’s being offered.
The Faction Pack with 4 mounts, I think that’s a good deal. 4 mounts at $10/each. Reasonable.
1 mount for $25+ is expensive.
Most of the stuff is actually worth it tbh, I’ve spent more on FF shop in 2 years then i have my entire WoW career.
The new costumes that just came out have really cute leggings that i want. Yes i might blow 20 bucks just for them, lol.
ah gotcha, seems a bit pointless as it’s in the front page of the launcher…but ok
It’s not on my launcher, I only saw it from wowhead. Are we not allowed to discuss new things on the forums now?
I agree, about 90% of the things in the shop are not worth it, with a couple of exceptions
Not sure I would call anything on the shop a micro-transaction. Those are 99 cent items or at most a couple of dollars in my opinion.
However, I am not surprised they aren’t adding new items every week to be honest. With the amount of artwork that is datamined and never makes it to the game, they could easily do so.
We were told ages ago that items from the Trading Post and items from the shop could rotate in and out. They did the same with the black and purple set.
To some people it is. Some also don’t want to waste their Tender. And that’s marketing.
Yep. WoW has the smallest cash shop and they’ve kept it that way on purpose. If it gets any larger or they suddenly remove the ability to get Bnet balance with gold, then I’ll get vocal about it. But as it stands, it’s not a big deal. And we’ve seen stuff from the shop on the TP and vice versa. Plus the ability to buy with gold.
As long as people keep buying, things will only continue.
I’m sure there are people who will “buy” it, but 40$ for that mog is ridiculous.
Blizzard appears to be testing what they can get away with while milking what they can out of those that “need” this type of thing.
This is extremely low effort “content” and putting a 40$ price tag on it looks really greedy.
The frequency of cash shop items should be concerning. If they can make a grip of the cash shop… while not really fixing the expansion we’ve been beta testing… the quality of the actual game will suffer long term.
Our sub fees and expansion purchases will probably net them less than the cash shop eventually and we’ll have all these “cosmetics” thrown at us, that mean nothing… because the actual game is busted.

“You can get it with in-game gold” is free-to-play game mentality to me.
Like Clash of Clans and other similar games. Yes, you can get everything just by playing the game…prohibitively slowly which is why people just pay real money instead.
Which is what happens with things like 3 million gold for warband banks, will happen with housing, and often happens with cash shop items as well.
No, you are not “forced” to make any of these purchases.
Yes, you are heavily incentivized to spend a few hours at work instead of days or weeks in the game to get what you want.
The limited time nature of many things simply spikes the incentives a bit more.

good news, the mog isn’t $40

Difference being FF14 doesn’t shove their store in your face. There are no links in the game and they don’t advertise it in game either.
