Not sure if this is a phasing thing, or why it’s suddenly popped up… but is there a reason why there’s a new blue moon in the sky?
I’m more confused at the red star, is that the remnants of the Argus portal zoomed in?
Otherwise, Azeroth canonically has two moons.
Once someone completes the quest chain for Dragonwrath, Tarecgosa’s Rest, specifically this quest: https://wowpedia.fandom.com/wiki/The_Stuff_of_Legends
, Stormwind or Orgrimmar are temporarily phased to have Dragons, as well as the Blue Child moon, appear in the sky.
The Blue Child is Azeroth’s second moon.
Yeah, the Red Star is from the ending of Legion. It’s the rift left open to the Seat of the Pantheon where Illidan and Sargeras are dueling.
I remember in a Blizzard interview, they said if that star ever goes out, it would be a big problem… though there is still a giant sword sticking out of the planet so I figured that was whatever.
The blue moon however seemed new, and I wasn’t sure if I was missing out on a Elune/Ysera/Green Dragonflight quest chain.
The Blue Moon has been around for a while. Since the Pre-Launch of Mists of Pandaria.
The Blue Moon is called the Blue Child by the way and is said to be the offspring of the White Lady(which is the White Moon Elune/Mu’sha).
Mu’sha the White Lady is reported to have a little sister that is the Earth Mother’s tear and she is Blue as well. Of course considering the Winter Queen is Elune’s sister that is no surprise.
An’she is their brother and thanks to an injury needs Elune to brighten him enough to appear in the Sky. There is an entity in the Void called An’shuul who might just be An’she whom the First Ones missed when stuffing Cosmic Entities into Robots.
The First Ones shoved the Winter Queen Lo’sho into a Robot to join the Pantheon of Death and Elune into another Robot to join the Pantheon of Life…
These Celestial Bodies are the Gods of WoW by the way with the Pantheon of Order AKA Titans being God-like entities that aren’t Gods themselves. The Titan Argus when hit with Time Magic reverted to a bunch of Constellars suggesting the Titans are God-like because they are Constellar Amalgams imitating Celestial Bodies AKA the Gods.
