That’s called a conspiracy theory. A blue can confirm it’s not me liking my comments, but why is Dreta still here?

You’re mildly amusing.

Meh. I don’t really care if he feels like he “won.” I’m just a moth staring blithely into this raging bonfire of lunacy.

I’d like to also point out that Ion himself stated that High Elves are playable and they’re on the Horde thereby clearing any confusion about Blood Elves. A blue eyes customization would end all of these threads once and for all.

8.2, Blizzard. Think about the half year profit. The shareholders. The revenue.

I honestly think all of that corrupted stuff is irrelevant. I get all that and everything it makes the story and what not. But really it’s just an appearance customization and it’s not that serious. I find no problem in giving the blood elves blue eyes. I just don’t see the big problem. And they will never get blue eyes back because so many of you have a problem with it for no reason at all

giggles

I dont like supporting necromancy. But I had to.

8.3 is coming. No high elves :stuck_out_tongue:

No. I had blue eyes in the beta for this very expac that I was playing. My warrior that I copied over had them. They were very bright and glowy blue, and floated a few inches infornt of the face so they seemed glitched there were three options for them total.

They exist in the lore and Blizzard was going to put them in, but for some odd reason they changed their mind. It is possibly because they are almost always 100% Alliance.

the green glint isnt even permanent, it was always going to fade in time. priests/paladins with a strong devotion to the light proved this outright when they began to manifest golden eyes. as the sunwell is holy/arcane, there is no reason a blood elf mage with a strong devotion to the arcane cant manifest blue eyes

So you’re 100% sure the eye colour customizations they’re working on won’t include a blue option anywhere?

Not for the alliance…

I was going to say that I thought green was the only color available in TBC, and yellow was added sometime after specifically because the Sunwell is cleansed now. So we already got our ‘purified elf’ customization.

lore wise only priests/paladins will manifest golden eyes. but in the name of player choice they let all classes get access to it(warlocks)

Probably would’ve been extremely confusing to a new player tinkering with the customization options too. “Wait…Paladin and Priest can have yellow but nothing else? What is this!?” The threads begging for a yellow option for other classes would probably never stop.

Just like we’ll never see an end to Alliance asking for blue eyed high elves (especially with Alleria being alive and taking a more active role) or Horde players asking for blue eyed Blood Elves just because they know how much it would grate Alliance players if Horde got it and they did not.

this has nothing to with a tiny tiny group of players on the forums begging for access to a horde race. blood elf players hope to see a blue eye color option because it makes sense lore wise. it would be reflective of the cleansing effects of the new holy/arcane sunwell and the fact a lot of blood elves would be using arcane magic in their every day lives again and feeding on a font of arcane/holy magic which is where the blue eyes came from in the first place. especially magister types. if youre a blood elf mage green/golden options feel silly and outdated

I’m not saying there isn’t a lore based reason. Blood Elves were High Elves not so long ago. The green eyes was only due to Fel tainted Sunwell. Now it’s cleansed, Blue should be making a return.

But I’m sure you can imagine the fallout that would ensue among the Alliance playerbase if Blizzard did it.
